If Dawson wins, will Team Bute say "He's not a big enough name"?

Andrade was in the middle of the ring. That's illegal. The ref had to make him go back to his corner. It's written in every set of rules. Anyway, Bute stood up at eight and that's all he had to do to win. He was lucky but he won.

Enough with that, go read the other posts written on the subject.

How can the IBF SMW champion duck a beltless 175-er?

Dawson and Bute are the same size. There is no logical weight for that fight to be made. It can go from 168 to 175.

He'd never say anything close to "He's not a big enough name"

Bute is always a humble guy and he actually said he felt honored that Dawson's team want to fight him next.

I think HBO will heavily influence their next decision.

hahaha you got me wit the they all ducked bute line. U slipped that one in there real nice LOL. Dam you got me:rofl

OK all jokes aside I don't see how it would have been taylor made for Bute. As far as opponents go, bute hasn't faced any top level fighters. His best name is bika so he was and still is unproven. Andrade is nothing like the S6 fighters and niether is miranda. Everyone with a win in the S6 already has a better resume then bute's. Dirrell's DQ vs Abraham is better than anything on bute's resume LOL.

Maybe the casual fan didn't know but everyone who knew something about boxing knew that dirrell and ward were big threats to all the S6 fighters. I had one of them winning it from the start and felt there was no way in hell any of the euro guys were gonna keep the superior talent of dirrell or ward from winning the tourney. So you know that bute's people knew it and did not think of dirrell and ward as nothing. Bute had just came off of a devestating gift win over adrande when the tourney was made.

Now to froch, Abraham and Kessler: They all are better than anyone bute has ever faced. All would be tough fights.

Butes main goal is understandably to meet some of the fighters from the Super Six. So the last thing he wants to do is move to another division.

I think he will offer Dawson a fight and montreal will then be the perfect place given that both will have been exposed there.

I could imagine a fight in early 2011 for Bute's championship belt in Montreal. Would be a good fight (if Dawson wins). If Pascal wins I expect Pascal to stay at lhw and try to make as much of his carreer before making the 'local' fight.

A lot even wanted the S6 to start with that foot looking fraud Green who stops all activity when someone tries to hit him rather than Dirrell :rofl
Dirrell is a KO waiting to happen. Hes a fragile hypejob and Bute would spank him any day of the week. Powder punshing Ward will might carry him to the distance though. Both got floored by bums and Ward has a RJJ style chin he just does a better job than expected protecting it.
Andrade KO´d Bute in the last seconds of the fight and there was some **** homecooking, fine but it was exciting and Bute behalfed like a real champion and beat the hell out of Andrade in the rematch. Unlike Dirrell who somehow managed to beat an Eurobum by acting a KO or borderline boring Ward with all his dirty headbutts and holding. There was no reason why Bute should have avoided the tournament and it wasnt the case since its confirmed that he wasnt invited. Bute is some kind 168lbs Klitschko. Everyone is running and hiding and then they call it super six :rofl

    :lol::lol::lol:
    nice try
If you bought that hype, fine. If you honstly think that Dirrell would prevent someone big skilled powerfull fast and with high ring iq like Bute from ripping his head off by running thru the ring with outstretched arms or by monotonic clock like penduluming next to the ropes for more than three rounds then hell i dont know whats wrong with you :patsch

Dawson, would be by far the best fighter Bute ever fought so make the fight happen. I pick Dawson by Ud, to much skill for Bute. Dawson, has earn everything he has.

Technically it is not possible for a guy who fights at 168 to duck a guy who fights at 175.

In addition, Bute/Pavlik is not a huge fight at the moment. However, it may be huge in the very near future. Regionally and geographically Bute/Pavlik could be a monster fight that comes with piles and piles of cash. KP is the highest ranked WBO contender that is not in the S6. He can force a fight with Stieglitz if he wants it. A Bute/Pavlik unification would generate far more money than Dawson/Bute.

I think Bute and his team may take a wait and see approach.
