Perhaps this Celebrity Boxing series that DAZN has launched can inspire young people who otherwise not normally would be interested in boxing ? If normal proboxing can grab 5% of this Celebrity Boxing audience then that's good.

I got to meet Cedric Kushner several times and he was no firecracker. He was still a successful boxingpromoter.

Good point. The darts is a massive part of Sky Sports.

Although it's never been, and never will be, exclusive to Sky Sports. Indeed Sky probably needs it more than the other way around; the PDC is going the way of its sister company World Snooker and there will be a lot more money on the table from European and Asian rights than Sky puts in. Sky needs the massive darts audience at certain times of year.

What was he like? I read a bit by Buncey about him and he sounded like a character/ crazy!

The times I met him he was relatively quiet. Seemed nice, but was also good at telling stories about how corrupt all the other promoters were, while he himself was completely honest :)

For your sake, I can add the latest rumor in the TV world that I heard on Friday, namely that DAZN will be much more targeted at the younger audience in the future. This means more extreme sports and less professional boxing. As a boxing fan, it made me a little sad.

Not true at all. Boxing growth still priority for the time being. Eventually want to target a larger sports right which will take precedence.

but all you are currently seeing are sports rights being added to the platform to enable it to grow. The budget for boxing has been set for both Matchroom and golden boy and those contacts haven’t been changed
