01. Floyd Mayweather 02. Joe Calzaghe 03. Miguel Cotto 04. Manny Pacquaio 05. Juan Marquez If he beats Diaz in an impressive fasion, such as dominating the fight or KO, then he goes #1
Well hes struggling to make 130 and if he cant even beat a David Diaz at 135 then hes is pretty much a shot fighter. Shot in a way where their body has grown too much but their strength, power and speed didnt carry with them. In that case Id probably him outside of top 10...but it wont happen. Pac via KO inside 9 rounds, probably 5 rounds if Pac wants to finish early.
Record, Championship & Standing within' their own weight Class. I think "Pound for Pound" these fighters would be the best fighters in any weight class today & they are. A non champion or inactive coming off a loss should not be on the list.
If Pacquiao loses to Diaz then unless its due to some sort of freak occurance he is likely out of the top10. Pacquiao is a lightweight from now on and won't be moving back down in weight.
i would have agreed that jmm would have been on top of pac if jmm had the luxury of beating diaz. but how can you put somebody on top you where that guy NEVER beat you?!
I hope so.. I'm predicting Pacquiao to win via unanimous decision, but if he KO's Diaz, then I'm gonna' be like a giddy 13 year old girl .. "IF" he was to lose by a very close decision, perhaps a SD, then I wouldn't move him far at all.. Probably just put him behind Calzaghe & Cotto, but "IF" he was to lose badly like by KO or whatever, then somewhere around the #10 area or something like that..
Why wouldnt you move him down? 135 would be his new weight class, dont think he can make 130 again and p4p is based on how good a fighter you currently are. If he cant even beat a David Diaz and he cant go down further in weight to beat elite opponents, wouldnt that mean that he isnt world class anymore? Thats not top 10 p4p material. Pac by KO. I cant see how he cannot knock this guy out. He needs to make a statement and if Morales can knock this guy down, Pac destroys this guy. I believe Pac has the power of a 140lber and he will prove it when he comes in at LW and demolishes this guy.
You do have a point which brings to mind, another point.. Pac was struggling to make 130, so do you think that would have affect him at all? Should he be able to perform better now since he doesn't have to lose so much weight? But he is fighting bigger fighters now.. I don't know.. I don't see him losing either though.. I think he'll win this one easily, but not sure on the KO.. I was thinking something like a 10-2 or 9-3 for Pac with a couple of KO's and a lot of bleeding.. From Diaz of course..
If Pac loses, I wouldn't be surprised.... If this fight gets stopped, more than likely Diaz's hand will be raised in my opinion... Anywho, if Diaz beats Pacman then David does crack the top 10. I dunno where to put him though. Floyd Cotto Calzaghe Vasquez Pavlik Marquez ...... maybe this is where Diaz goes if he beats Pac... depends on his performance...
People with Pavlik. :rofl Do you understand what p4p is supposed to mean in the first place? (not what it's been corrupted into)
i've been reading a lot of posts that Pacman is a heavy favorite to win this one. Even from many PAC fans that claims this would be a sure win. Why would it have an effect on his standing then? My problem is, A lot of people underestimated DD. Most are relying on his performance against Morales whom Pac KO'd in 3. But actually, Pac is supposedly the underdog, he's the one going in unfamiliar territory. He may be the top dog in his weight class, but climbing up to a different one is a whole new game. So its contradicting for me. While claiming that DD will more likely lose the fight, it doesnt make sense why Pac should get number 1 position. err...
