Has he acheived more in boxing than Floyd?? Obviously Mayweather is the more skilled boxer but in terms of titles, fame, glory and retrospect who will be looked upon as having acheived more??
its not gona happen but i would still say no,if dlh wins people on here will still say he beat a fighter who weighs so much less then him etc etc all the excuses will come out, mayweather has done(title wise)basically what dlh has done and bare in mind dlh also lost his biggest fights aswell ,its sad that a fighter no longer problaby even ranked in most peoples top 25 fighters in the world is a bigger draw than the number 1 fighter
Delahoya aint beating Mayweather. The first fight was his best chance of doing it.. Hes only gonna get older.
I wouldn't be surprised if they have the whole thing fixed for Oscar to win so they can set up a third fight.
If, And Only If, Dlh Wins Against A Younger, In His Prime Opponent Like Fm, Then Oscar Should Be The One Looked At In A Better Position. Remember ,even Though Oscar Has Not Been Able To Impress Lately , His Level Of Opposition In His Entire Career Has Been Far Better Than Ubf's.... Again, It's An Older Vs A Young Fighter, If The Dlho Wins At The Sunset Of His Fighting Days, Just Imagine What He Could Have Done To Ufm During His Prime.
dont see delahoya winning. Definately if the fight is at 147. I think Oscar is gonna be weight drained and tired. And Floyd is gonna woop him worst than he did the 1st time.
de la hoya is going to beat maywhether so they can set up a trilogy and we allready now floyd wont figth the top welters rigth now i wish the two just retire
If De La Hoya beats Mayweather in a rematch, then calls it quits, I think he would go down as the greater fighter. But it's not gonna happen...
Answer the question. If De La Hoya defeats Mayweather yes he has achieved more in boxing. Floyd Mayweather for me hasn't actually achieved an awful lot. Yes, he has bagged plenty of titles at different weights. That's a great achievement, but so has De La Hoya. The only way to achieve truely great things in Boxing besides titles, is to do the unexpected. Muhammad Ali defeated Foreman and became Three time heavyweight champ. First person to do so. Leonard defeated the whos who of the 80s, came back from a lay off to beat the Middleweight champ. Robinson's record speaks for itself. If Mayweather wants to be remembered he either needs to finish undefeated or clear out the welterweights. If he loses to De La Hoya, everything he has achieved so far will be outweighted by the fact he lost to a old De La Hoya whereas Hoya would have defeated #1 p4p fighter in the world in his twilight years.
Man, I've always been a big fan of PBF. But with this **** goin on with the Big Show and now after announcing his 2nd retirement, only to find out we have in store for us ODH/PBF II, uugghh, I don't like the taste it leaves when thinking it over. Don't get me too wrong though, IMO PBF has done more than enough to walk away and do what ever the hell he pleases. 6 world titles in 5 weight divisions, and people still think he needs to do something. PLEASE!! But, if he were gonna do anything at all, I do wish he would just fight Cotto. But Cotto is a bad mother ****er. To answer the OP's question though, hell, I'm a student still of the game. I love it to death obviously, but that's a tough call. They've both put in some serious time and work.
Absolutely. Hoya needs to fight Winky after he whoops Floyd and then ends his career with a rematch with Tito at 160lbs.
