Sugar Ray Leonard hung around way too long and got embarrassed when he fought a younger if still past his prime Camacho. Who would De La Hoya get embarrassed by if he sticks around a young man's sport longer than he should?

I doubt it, but if he did he'd put a stop press on that book of his and run back to Puerto Rico with his tail between his legs. I like Oscar by the way, this aint a hate thread.

SRL wasn't making 25+ million when he was fighting way past his best.. not even close.

The match DLH wants more than anything is probably DLH-Mayweather II. It brings him the most amount of money and the least amount of physical punishment.

I really doubt DLH will be sticking around when he's shot and isn't making real DLH money. But the ultimate embarassment would be getting knocked out by JCC Jr. That would be something..

Ooooh, I was trying to think of someone embarrassing the hell out of DLH and you hit it. That would be horrible, something he'd kick himself about the rest of his life. Ouch.:yikes

I would like to see that fight get made just because of the 0.01% chance DLH somehow gets knocked out. After that, Chavez Jr. could retire and make his father and all of Mexico proud of him forever.

    don't know exactly who.

if he keeps fighting on, it could be almost anyone.

it's happened many times before and will happen again. if not with oscar, than with some of the other top guys of the era.

I think Oscar is a legend, and wouldn't hate on him, but think he should have gone after the first Mayweather fight, considering he only fought once in three years after the Hopkins fight.

In his prime, I would have backed him to have beaten FMJ on that night, but I suppose maybe Floyd would have been able to raise his game to get the win.

I think a prime DLH would beat him and even think an older DLH has a better chance of beating him as for fighters within the 147-154 range than anyone else. the question comes down to does he have the will? Oscar is a legend and I won't take anything from it but does he have the will to train hard to beat the #1 p4p? All I remember from that 24/7 show was him farting while stretching and him calling Michael J. Fox and George Lopez looking more like a don Kin than an Ali.
