Canelo will swerve GGG until 2018.
Jacobs dont want that work
Saunders is just running his mouth
Eubank Jr is a good win but he is unproven

Degale is an Olympic Gold Medalist. If he wins Badou Jack, Degale will be unified champ at 168. This would be Golovkin's best win, possibly career defining. GGG beating Degale would be a much bigger win than beating Canelo.

It all depends on Degale winning the fight!

Let's not kid ourselves, ggg is going to fight another outmatched bum. Until he proves that he can make fights with anybody with a pulse it's stupid to expect anything different.

if lil g fights at 168 it will be against a guy like ramirez or something like that

he would want no part of someone like degale or dirrell...and his history of ducking guys like ward and lara suggest just that.....he likes unskilled guys or guys that are there to be hit....

lil is a product of matchmaking...he doesnt want to fight the best...he wants to create an illusion....if, of anyone, his career is as much of a product of careful guidance

GGG had signed a fight against Dmitry Pirog, one of the top fighters @160 at that time (he KO'ed Daniel Jacobs). Pirog pulled out with a career-ending back injury. So you cannot say GGG doesn't want to fight the best in his division.

He's tried to get the Saunders fight and the Canelo fight too.

I wouldn't take it that far. GGG was signed to fight Pirog, the same Pirog that put Jacobs to sleep. Pirog style was troublesome for all fighters. Too bad he hurt his back. There are other fighters that didn't want it you know the drill.

As for Lara, he can easily fight for position with the WBC, IBF or WBA and GGG would be forced to fight him to defend his title.

Boxers that ducked/ducking GGG

1---Felix sturm - wouldn't fight him for over 2 years when GGG was mandatory.

2---Peter quillin - said he will only fight for the may-pac kind of money, lol + he flew to Haymon to avoid GGG

3---Sergio martinez - "His promoter said that "no way I am putting him with this monster", GGG kept calling him out after his U.S. debut after every fight

4---Miguel cotto - ducked his mandatory(GGG) twice by fighting Geale and Canelo

5---Julio cesar chavez jr - Turned down 12mil offer by TR

6---Saul alvarez - Avoided his mando(GGG). Thinks that he is fighting at the weight-class of 155, as there is no such thing as a "155 weight-class" ,he is pretending to be not in the MW division because of GGG.There are 17 divisions just pick one, if you can't make 154 then you are a MW, simple.

7---Carl froch - After calling GGG out then when GGG accepted ,he backed down and now he is retired after making all the fuss, + GGG was calling him for more than a year b4 he was retired so no excuses for "retiring".

8---Andrea Ward - The diva of the 168lb division don't want to travel or meet the a-side GGG in a catchweight so he can become a good boy and get ktfo. Was willing to goto 160 for Floyd but when GGG said 164, Ward ducked + he was fine when Dawson came down a whole division for him but wont move half a division for GGG, smh

9---Billy joe Saunders - Even before winning the WBO title from Lee his fear of Golovkin was as biright as day this is just one of many interviews(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJuwAz-ekoQ), then after winning it he priced himslef out at 6 mil$. Then turned down $3.2mill offer from k-2(its 2.2 gbp so I converted)

10---Hassaan ndam njikam -When Hassaan was WBO champ, he was ordered to a purse bid to face Golovkin no less than two times and he was a no show each time.

11---Darren Barker - When Barker defeated Geale to become IBF champ, his promoter openly said that Barker will fight any1 except GGG

I see that you're not only a hater, but you're a hater with psychic powers.

Ward and Lara?

Two guys that weren't/aren't in his weight class.

If there's no way he can get Jacobs and Saunders in the ring, then yes, he has to move up. But let's hope he can get those fights soon and then he moves up afterwards.

 The demographic just doesn't stop dreaming about Golovkin.

Golovkin needs to stay at 160 lbs. to fight Sergiy Derevyanchenko. I want this fight a lot more than Golovkin going to 168 lbs.

Golovkin dares to be great and gathers all the belts at middleweight. Becoming the only undisputed champion in boxing at the moment is a great accomplishment.

We're still on the whole "Golovkin must take on people campaigning above MW" thing?

Saúl Álvarez doesn't stand a chance, granted, and will be a fish in a barrel way of gaining a plume à son chapeau and boosting his star power and future negotiating-table "A-side" leverage if & when they meet up - but, Canelo isn't the only middleweight out there at the moment. There are good, ACTUAL middleweights out there.

Jacobs. BJS. CEJ. All young, proven and ready to go. Then you have veteran contenders Lee and HNN still hanging around, both with a long history of having their names linked with GGG's, and both with a long shot chance of beating him (via explosive puncher's chance and combined off-the-canvas resiliency & slippery movement, respectively). El Gaucho de Pigüé is there in the mix too - of course GGG would be slated if he fought him, but the guy is a solid natural MW and not an easy assignment for any of the elite at 160lbs...and has earned a shot at the big time. Likewise true of Khurtsidze. In the pipeline you have Khytrov, Murata, Falcão, Quigley, Derevyanchenko, Centeno, Arias, Castaño, Blanco, and Gausha - youthful, unbeaten and talented all; bounding after the mechanical rabbit and eager to build up their name in time for a chance to cash in (and prove their mettle) with the greatest PPV attraction in Kazakh pugilist history.

There is plenty for Golovkin to do right where he is for pretty much the rest of his viable years in the sport, without ever moving up in weight. The only reason he should ever do that would be if he begins to struggle to make the weight.

Will it be comparable to Hagler's long dominion over the same one division? No, obviously not, because there aren't the couple of names anywhere in the above list to push him over the edge to get there. Falling short of the Marvelous one, however, is hardly a failure - or a fair benchmark for having put together a terrific career of his own and justifiably digging both heels in and standing pat. Longevity, with enough abundance of solid challengers, is enough to buy passage into the realm of 'greatness' even without any singular unicorn-like 'prime ATG' standout opponents. I'd be just as happy to dole out credit for a timeline of defeating the gauntlet of Álvarez, Saunders, Jacobs, Eubank, Lee, N'Dam, and then any 2-3 (let alone more) of the young hungry lions I named earlier - pretty much whichever establish themselves as in-demand unmissable dance partners the quickest - as I would for bailing on the class altogether to, say, get by DeGale, Jack and GRS only to have that Icarus-and-the-sun moment and get cherry-popped at 175lb by Ward. :conf

No he does not need to move up and fight someone at SMW. He can stay at his naturally weight and rule there if he wishes to do so. There is absolutely no problem in that and no it is not a duck to stay at your natural weight or the division you wish to be in if you choose to do so.

What would be great though is if his fanboys would stop acting like the JMWs have to move up to face him or they are scared to because they mention moving up once in awhile.

While GGGs camp mention moving up also but have not done it. So they must be scared of 168?

Just like the haters expect GGG to do things that are equally ridiculous because they "say so" it is ridiculous.

In both instances neither side will compromise or see the circumstances surrounding the respective fighters careers.

The hypocrisy on this forum between fanboys and haters is the problem here. Not what the current boxers are choosing to do with their careers. Half of the people here do not even know what constitutes a duck.

A duck floats on water and quacks, sometimes they fly away if you get too close, they need their space!
