Boxing doesn't have a winners mentality. It has a bogus business protect your asset mentality. Fighters need to start fighting for good pay. There are no bonuses, no real pay structure in place.

If a guy is losing a fight and he knows he isn't getting another big pay cheque then you can believe he'll come to fight even if he is losing.

I love DeGale fans. They make out like all the ****wit's opposition have been top class and he's looked like Gerald Mclellan crossed with Roy Jones Jr.

 

To be fair it's probably a Smigga fan.

His fans were always the most rabid of any British fighter.

 

Put it this way. Frank ****** was 100% sure who was going win Smith-DeGale. 100%.

 

Do you actually believe that!! Degale was 1/6 favourite maybe in Liverpool it was seen as 50/50 but it was noway near 50/50.

The main thing I remember about that night is a load of Smith fans on the other side of the arena throwing beer everywhere when the fight was stopped and all dashing from their seats into the concourse area.

Allegedly definitely knew what he was doing making that fight, though long term it didn't do DeGale any favours, nor my bank balance after I shoved a nice lump on him knocking out Groves.
