If these 3 great under 190lbs guys fought each other in their primes:
    1.Who would win the most?

    2.Would there be any kos?

3.Would any come out with a clean slate?

I think Rocky would beat both probably late stoppages, though I think there's a good chance of him getting dropped, Dempsey Langford could go either way, but I'd give Dempsey an edge. I think one of them gets stopped most of the time.

Langford would be the least likely to win the most, although he shouldn't be counted out entirely.

I'd say it's most likely that all go to the scorecards although all 3 do hit like dynamite.

Rocky the most likely to come out with a clean slate.

Marciano wins this pretty clearly. Langford vs Dempsey would be interesting, though I think Dempsey would win.

Dempsey and Marciano battle it out in a savage classic. Both men hit the canvas and going in to the last round its so close ,when the cards are read it's a split decision ..Jack Dempsey wins !

Dempsey and Langford engage in a Mini battle where Jack is dropped twice in the first !
He's hurt again several times but its Dempsey WHO roars back to make a Savage ko in the 7th .

Langford strike s early again ,putting Rocky down with in seconds but Marciano makes it up by 8.
They both mix it up and get those dynamite shots in .By the 8 th Rocky's eye is bleeding profusely and the ref is following him closely. Mariano storms out for the 9 th like a bat out of Hell !
He traps Langford in a corner pummeling away .A right ,left and another jarring right and down goes Langford ! And not a moment too soon as the ref was close to stopping it .

I pick Jack to beat the other 2 ,and I think Sam gives him most trouble.

You honestly think that Sam Langford I h2h at heavyweight better than Marciano?

Imo Marciano beats everyone not named Joe Louis or Muhammad Ali

Langford stylistically gives Jack more trouble imo.I think Rocky is a slightly lesser version of Dempsey. Marciano isn't in my top ten all time.

    Willie Meehan flashbacks

In all seriousness those fights were only 4 rounds, some were early in his career (aka dempsey was starving), some were robberies, and the final fight was an exhibition iirc

I think they are fairly different, similarities, but not two versions of the same fighter.

Dempsey much more aggressive early, super fast start, but a tendancy to fade. Rocky more slowly tending to ware down opponents with insane stamina.

Rocky fights very compact with his short reach, while Dempsey is a bit more rangy.

In terms of ranking them, I'd put Rocky higher, just someone who found a way to win, and IMO against better competition. Dempsey looks brilliant, but I think his competition wasn't as good, not fighting Wills is a pretty big black mark, though I agree Dempsey probably would have won.

What is your all time top ten BTW?
