If Deontay clearly beats Fury his resume instantly becomes clearly better than AJs

2 fights more than a 2 year inactive depressed Wlad who returned to the ring to go life and death with AJ.

There will always be some kind of slant for whoever Wilder picks to fight, he can't win with his demented haters who can't give credit when credit is due.

It's beyond pathetic to be quite honest.

Those 2 come back fights are about on a par with Haye returning against De Mori and Gjergaj and look what that did for Hayes future prospects. Seferi and Pianeta are no preparation for going in against Wilder.

Exactly. By OP's logic, Tony Bellew truly does have the greatest resume in the division right now.

Dumb comparison, David Haye was 37 coming off a host of surgeries.

Fury is a young man who had weight issues which he is now put behind him.

Except against AJ Wlad showed unprecedented levels of hunger\heart since his early days.

Tell me, when did Fury undergo surgery for his bicep, surgery and achilles?

And when did Fury turn 35?

Dude, you do the exact same, and worse, with Joshua.

Before the Wlad match you picked the Ukrainian's nous and experience in the sweet science to prevail, as soon as Joshua won you changed your tune pretty damn quick by constantly reminding everybody about Wlad's previous two years of inactivity and depression. And you've already started demeaning and belittling Povetkin's chances of beating him, citing the exact same bollocks people use to discredit Wilder's win over Ortiz. That way you instantly have a stick to beat Joshua with (surprise surprise) when Povetkin actually turns out to be a little more competitive.

But Fury fights Wilder as his first REAL challenge from a 3 year depression and binge induced lay off and Wilder deserves full credit for that?

    ****ing hypocrite.

Fury had deep, deep problems with depression, addiction, obesity. It's not all back to normal after facing 2 bums.

Quite what that has to do with the fact that Wilder acted as though Wilder Stiverne 2 was a legitimate title challenge when the WBC had obviously screwed over far more worthy opponents to install the bloater Stiverne as mandatory, I have absolutely no ****ing clue

    Said noone previously.

Now that said, Ortiz and even a come backing Fury is an impressive set of fights back to back even if his resume to that point is complete dross. Glad to see he's finally looking to fight top level opponents.

The point is the OP is giving credit as if it's peak Fury, yeah I extrapolated by using a further gone fighter in shot to bits Haye but the principle remains the same.

We shouldn't go spouting anything about how credible a win Fury would be to Wilder when his only fight in three years has been against Seferi.

As earlier stated, VK's preparation was seriously diminished prior to him fighting Fury as a result of his wife's post natal depression and bipolar and not prior to him fighting AJ. It's obvious to anyone with fully functioning eyesight that WK was in far better shape for the AJ fight.

One think I’m not totally clear on...does Wilder become the lineal champ if he beats Fury?

The difference is I've given credit to Jenner when he has deserved credit however he's turned into a complete and utter shameless proud coward by ducking two of the biggest punchers in the division so he could have the comfort of fighting old HW midgets.

Had he chosen to fight Wilder I'd have given him massive amounts of credit and respect, sadly he did all he could to avoid him.

I mean you can't expect people to defend or show respect to a fighter, that asks their own fans to do their fighting for them.

As for Fury, he will be getting his first challenge when he goes toe to toe against the former European champion and two-time world title challenger.

That's a great tune up fight.

Look at the caliber of opponent's Ward had for his 5 year lay off and he still managed to perform against SK.
