If Deontay clearly beats Fury his resume instantly becomes clearly better than AJs

What other wins become invalid? Foreman over Moorer? Ali over Foreman? Douglas over Tyson? Please enlighten us.

I may be wrong on this but, did you judge Wilders defences against Spilka, Washington, the bloated corpse of Stiverne, Molina, Duhaupas and Arreola to the same set of exceptionally stringent standards as you do Jenner as you've come to call him?

I'd have given Wilder credit for beating Ortiz, but for the referees interference between rounds 7 and 8 which put payed to any chance Ortiz had of jumping on a still stunned and groggy Wilder. I'd even give Wilder credit for facing Breazeale as there is an opponent who is in his prime, is a physical match and has plenty of dog in him....unfortunately we instead get the same old BS smoke and mirrors performance from both Wilders and Fury's team.

This is nothing more than a PR stunt orchestrated by both camps to keep their names relevant while all the other top 5-10 heavyweights are actually fighting.

I don’t know...how about fight each other to see who is better ???

Beating a guy that was semi retired and looked like crap in his latest come back fight doesn’t scream I’m the greatest to me.

No one has made out that Wilder's resume as it currently stands is great so why would there be a need to stringently expose the flaws in his opponents?

The fact of the matter if Povetkin didn't fail drug tests and get himself banned and Jenner wasn't a coward, his resume would stand out a lot more.

You can call it a pr stunt all you like, get on your knees pray for it if you like, but there is nothing to suggest the fight isn't set up to take place after Fury has today confirmed terms has been agreed and finalized.

We know Jenner's groupies are praying this isn't real, just like they were praying the 50 mil wasn't real until reality hit them in the face.

What kind of fake boxing fans do we have on here who hope that a major super fight doesn't happen?

    My my my.....

You go on about AJ fighting the drug cheat Povetkin and yet give Wilder a pass for fighting the drug cheat Ortiz, who incidentally is Wilders only genuine world level opponent.

It depends how Fury looks Vs Pianeta.

If Fury is a class above, say like when Wlad beat him then the win will have some merit.

Enough to usurp Joshua? Not for me.

I don't go on about AJ fighting a drug cheat, because Povetkin won't be on peds for their fight. He will be clean for first the time ever in a major fight. I'm more concerned with his age, his stature, his weight and how much punishment he will be taking.

Ortiz wasn't done for peds. He was removed as mandatory after Jenner told on him and then he was subsequently banned without a full investigation which isn't what normally happens. Once a full investigation was carried out through additional testing, he his ban was then lifted as it was due to him failing to disclose blood pressure medication which is a world of difference to being on the gear.

Ortiz was banned in 2014 after defeating Lateef Kayode by 1st round KO, after testing positive for Nandrolone. Quite how long and how often Ortiz had been a Ped cheat is anyone's guess

Based off a Fury who's only relevant fight was over 3 years ago?

    Sorry not in this reality!

It certainly improves but to claim better bc once again Wilder fights a guy at the right time to give him an advantage ? Nope!

Are we ignoring that Fury has also failed multiple drug tests and served a two year suspension? What rock are you people living under?

Ortiz, Povetkin and Fury are all proven drug cheats and today are almost certainly past their best. It's not complicated.

In that vein, Berbick beating Ali was an amazing accomplishment!
