Maybe he can be regarded as the 'Matchroom Boogeyman'?

So 1 'World level win' isn't enough for Bogeyman status.....

    But Ortiz's 0 is?

Ortiz's best win is a man who almost got KOd by Dimitrenko.
The same Dimitrenko that Parker destroyed.

Don't forget the headbutt induced knockdown that accounted for the win.

Hearn signed Ortiz to keep him away from Joshua?

So you're now accusing Hearn of drugging Ortiz?

Ortiz would've been WBA mandatory if he didn't fail his drugs test.

    Also....

"Bryant Jennings was a world level heavyweight when Ortiz faced him, a consensus top 10 heavyweight at that time."

Jennings never has been, and never will be, a World Title holder.

    Parker destroyed Dimitrenko.
    Dimitrenko almost KOd Jennings.

Jennings's best win is a SD over a cruiserweight.....

In my eyes he's definitely over achieved. Never really rated him, thought Parker would beat him but he showed he isn't as terrible as I thought.

His win over Parker is better than anything Ortiz has done in my opinion. Parker was a former champion unlike Jennings and I think he is more proven than Jennings. But that doesn't mean I would pick Whyte over Ortiz but then again I picked Parker over Ortiz so what do I know, maybe Whyte beats Ortiz.

Hearn told Ortiz he could fight Joshua if he signed with him which immediately saw Ortiz's blood pressure go through the roof at the idea of having to fight Joshua. So Ortiz was forced to take blood pressure meds which led to the failed test. So yes Hearn is to blame lol.

    I used to really like Ortiz when the discussion around him was real, before Wilders fans started holding him up as the greatest thing since sliced bread and started blowing smoke out his arse. Let's look at the facts;

If you remove Wilder, in his last 3 fights Ortiz has faced Dave Allen, Daniel Martz and Razvan Cojanu (originally meant to be Joe Hanks). In case you haven't noticed Ortiz is almost 40 and isn't interested in fighting contenders/ champs unless it's for a big cashout payday.

In his 3 fights before that, his best wins were against Malik Scott, a notoriously feather fisted runner/diver, Thompson, who was 45 years old and never a huge hitter, and Jennings, a light-hitting smallish heavyweight who is yet to have a significant heavyweight victory.

At his age, Ortiz isnt a fan of getting hit. The idea that Whyte is ducking him is hilarious, Whyte is the #1 contender, but he's supposed to fight for 2nd mandatory? Screw getting that runaround. If he fought Whyte tomorrow, Whyte would knock his block off. As would Miller, Joshua, Povetkin, and the Fury's, Pulev and Parker would box rings around him. I like Ortiz, want good things for him, the best technical boxer in the division, but also the fastest aging. Ortiz is only hanging around for one more payday.

The WBA/WBO do not rank Ortiz as top 10, the IBF rank him as 9th.

Are people suggesting that Eddie Hearn is so powerful he has full control over 3 boxing organisations?

The truth, as often is the case, is a little less dramatic.

"Heavyweight contender Luis "King Kong" Ortiz will pay a stiff price for his second failed drug test in three years.

Ortiz, the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua's WBA title belt, had his status revoked and was suspended on Thursday by the sanctioning organization."

Joshua became WBA Champion in April 2017
Ortiz failed a test in September 2017

So Joshua never 'avoided' the WBA mandatory......
    Ortiz's cheating did that.
