If Dirrell performs as well as he did against Abraham, he's beating Ward...

Docs said he was okay post fight(i saw in one of the 360 episodes) and he seems to be pretty sharp right now. Getting cold clocked like that is less dangerous for you than eating 12 rounds of punishment in that regard anyway. He seemed more disappointed about how it ended, he wanted to finish the fight on his own terms.

My uni is a very respectable uni and I study product design.

So what I see and interpretation is linked with that and I know what I saw.

That's also true. But what the doctors meant by OK was that he was OK from a health point of view, not from a performance point of view.

Anyway, as I said, it's about whether he performs as well, not whether he can perform as well for me too.

Decebal, I agree that if Dirrell fights the way he should, he will beat Ward.

I only question his mental game in there. Can he just execute without mentally folding at some point....

    I hope he can.

If you didn't find anything impressive about dirrell vs AA then you are an idiot period. Doesn't surprise me that 2 guys from the europe (makin other euro posters look bad) are commenting on the end of the fight but not on the overwhelming skills that made abraham look like a nobody in the ring.

Dirrell displayed the highest form of boxing skill in that fight. If you don't know what the highest form is then I will let you know. The ability to counter a hard puncher clean in the middle of thier flurry while not being hit. A very small number of people could do that and most likely your favorite fighter cant.

People hate skills. Everyone loves rocky and hates apollo creed when in reality, apollo whips rocky's ass 9 out of 10

For the ward vs dirrell prediction.
Ward hasn't faced speed like dirrell's as a pro and has had the luxury of having a significant speed advantage in all his pro fights. There is still that question mark on how ward will deal with it. I feel that dirrell knows what he has to do and that is be first. Get his jab off on ward and set up like that. If ward uses his lean in style, dirrell is more than capable of pulling the trigger on a straight left down the pipe as well as the footwork to keep ward from getting in without paying for it. IMO this is the main determining factor in how the fight will go. I feel a real war breaking out mid to late in the fight. Both are gonna get hit more than they are used to due to the accuracy of each fighter. I feel dirrell's staight shots will do more damage than wards

Very tough fight to predict with a lot of possible outcomes. This is just the one I feel is more likely.

Thing is, Ward is a tactical master and very strong mentally... even at his [Dirrell's] best from this point of view, Ward will have the better of him. Dirrell has to rely a lot on his physical advantages to win. I hope he is a lot better than Ward in this respect...

Not really. Dirrell showed good movement and hit and away rhythm, some combinations, some counters and that's about it. That is not the "highest form of boxing skill"(something that isn't defined by mobile stick and move circle fighters anyway). He still made many mistakes in that fight that he outsped because abraham is about as mobile as a turtle. He still got hit and enough to get hurt. Dirrell is not really a master boxing ring scientist.

Some people like to act as if beating a top version of Dirrell is easy. But if Ward beats a top version of Dirrell, he's probably the best SMW in the world!

If I hate skills then why are Mayweather, Hasegawa, Pirog, Lara and many others some of my favourite fighters. :patsch

In a weak era, the good look great, and the above average look good. Like I said, Dirrell is physically very very talented which makes up for the swiss cheese holes in his technique. Fast hands and feet. Considerable power(he hurt AA) for someone with his style. He's like a less ferocious, less talented, less skilled Roy Jones, but more orthodox.
