If Dirrell performs as well as he did against Abraham, he's beating Ward...

Direll has a good chance to beat Ward if he performs as well as he did against Abraham. He has a CHANCE. It doesn't mean he will.

Even in the AA fight, in the late rounds, he was starting to fade. He couldn't handle the pressure of Abraham. He needed to act for the DQ, because he wasn't confident in himself that he could survive the late onslaught of Abraham.

Direll hasn't looked impressive against Froch and he couldn't stay on his feet at the end of the Abraham fight. Ward has looked impressive with both his fights with Kessler and Green. Ward has the mental focus and the ring IQ to win this fight. Ward is the complete package, Direll still has some things missing.

Direll will be good the first half of the fight then Ward will slowly begin to exploit Direll's mental weakness and take over the fight.

That was the most realistic (and best) fight in the entire Rocky series IMHO. Brilliant :happy

Nobody has looked THAT good vs AA and not for 9 rounds. Abraham has never been in a position where he needed a knockout late in his entire career. :deal

Not a case of not that good. Just way more frequent because of Dirrell's speed. People have still hit Arthur almost as much.

Not without getting hit back which is why I said "not that good". Speed, reflexes, skill and defense of dirrell were something that AA had never seen in the ring ever. No way he could have been ready for that and in no way, shape, or form was he ready for an aggressive dirrell.

Like I said, Abraham has never needed a KO late in his entire career.

So I stand by "Nobody looked that good against AA". It really is pointless to argue that point.

I guess they both really don't want to face each other...if that's the case.

Could Ward now be thinking that every fight from now on, he's risking losing BIG bucks, until he faces Lucian Bute on HBO, where the real money will be !

I've been backing Dirrell to win the tourny.

I feel he's going to show 100% of himself in this fight.

I agree with you that nobody has looked as good against Abraham as Dirrell did but you and many others sure as hell are overrating the win and performance.

People acting as if AA didn't land a punch and every Dirrell shot hit AA flush.

That rumor lives for a while now but seems more serious this time that it comes from Rafael keyboard. Both promoters should clarify that.

Abraham isn't that easy to outbox when he is letting his hands go....

When people get hit alot while missing thier shots, they become reluctant to swing and don't load up on shots the do throw. That is exactly what happened to AA. He had no Idea what to do. When dirrell knew he was winning and started to move away, AA started looking better, because that is the dirrell they trained for. See AA almost timing dirrell moving to his right late in the fight with the left hook . AA absolutely had no Idea dirrell was gonna be agressive and once he was hit with some shots he didn't see during his flurry, he started pulling his punches. I knew he was gonna be aggressive and people called me crazy prior to the fight. AA's people didn't prepare for every type of dirrell. AA's face was ****ed up with all punches while dirrell's face looked like he had just got out the shower even after the DQ.

It's so bad that AA or his team never talked about what happened in the fight because it was really embarrassing. AA usually has some **** talk for other guys after he fights them but not for dirrell. AA and company were dumbfounded that night and had no way to explain why the fight played out like that, without recognizing the great skill that was displayed against him. That really shows alot about AA's character on top of his shameful act.
