If DLH Isn't a HOF'er, Mosley Isn't Either!!

    Guys,

I have read many comments subsequent to the De La Hoya/Pac fight about Oscar not deserving of going to the Hall of Fame because he "lost all his biggest fights". Personally, I feel he is a legit Hall of Famer. He's not going down with Leonard, Jones, Mayweather or Hopkins but he's a Hall of Famer for sure. My response to those that feel he isn't a Hall of Famer, but that Mosley is, is this: Didn't Mosley lose all his biggest fights except against Oscar? If Oscar isn't a Hall of Famer, his two victories over him shouldn't be held in high regard. Subtract his wins over Oscar (the second fight being very debatable by the way), he has two losses to Forrest, two losses to Winky, and a close loss to Cotto. Other than Oscar, the biggest name he beat was a shot Vargas. If Mosley loses to Margarito, that will be another loss in another big fight. Personally, I feel that Mosley too is a Hall of Famer, I'm just using the same logic as these other idiots.

Finally, if Ken ****in Norton is in the Hall of Famer after not even winning a title in the ring and losing it in his first defense, and subsequently getting destroyed by Foreman and Cooney for having a style that bothered Ali, Oscar belongs in there too!!

    They're both Hall of Famers.

DLH will go down higher in history than Mosley despite Mosley having the edge over him head to head.

DLH is an HOFer. If he lost all his big fights, he wouldn't have any division titles now would. I dislike his phoniness and his hypocritical comments, and excuses, and whining, but that doesn't change his in ring work.

Of course Oscar is a freakin HOFer. What garbage.

I love it how people on this site seem to believe that their personal opinion on a fighter should be used as criteria.

Oscar won world titles in something like 7 divisions, and fought almost every great fighter of the last decade in his surrounding divisions. Yet somehow he doesn't make it:huh

Yet we have threads on here asking if Adamek does based on current accomplishments:lol:

Thats exactly how I feel about him also. I haven't liked what he's been doing in boxing lately, and I've never liked his personality, but he's definetely going down as a great.

There is no debate here and no question that Oscar is nothing less than a 1st ballot HOF'er!

Anyone who argues Oscar De La Hoya doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame is a fool or is trying to build notoriety.

The argument to be had is whether the Golden Boy is an ATG boxer, a difficult case for anyone to make, though not impossible.

I agree that Oscar and Mosley deserve the Hall of Fame, but you need to have some respect for Ken Norton.

Probably all true, DLH & SSM are definitely on the same tier as fighters, depends who you prefer if you want to rank one a little over the other.
DLHs legacy took a MASSIVE blow when he lost to Pacman but you cant erase what he did previously - 5 weight world champion, I dont regard him as a 6 weight champ as he lost to both Sturm & Hopkins, **** politics bull****, I`ll be my own judge.

By the way, DLH & Mosely are 1-1 in my eyes.... no way SSM won that 2nd fight, no way.
