Looking back they kinda pined Jacobs down.. in turn you'll see they done the same to Fletcher twice BJS & the Golden Child..


Only real loss when he hurt his leg against Geale.. and couldn't fight back for 12 rounds..


Jacobs protested the stoppage..

 

Everyone's got their opinion on GGG.. but I got my opinion on Pirog..


All the first fight was a KD.. and the ref makes up his own movie..

 

Jacobs/Pirog is scored a TKO.. but Harrison/Sprott I is scored a KO..


Neither had a count of ten..

 

I'm saying Harrison would have risen before 10 and KOd Sprott.. granted.. but it's still recorded as a KO.. rather than TKO..

 

If Pirog were still around Little G would be running scared.

I have to agree with that . The ref should have at least gave Jacobs a full 10 count before waving off the fight like that .

Pirog probably would've drop him again , but who knows ?

 

He beat a young Danny Jacobs who legit had a fist-sized cancerous tumor on his spine at the time.

He also beat Javier Maciel.

Beyond that...?

I liked Pirog and he had some skills, but the rose tinted glasses through which people like to remember him has always bothered me. He accomplished far less than you would think by reading these threads that are the exact same that pop up once a month asking about Pirog as though he's a great "what if" story or something.

 

He was also a pretty handy amatuer and scored highly on the 'eye test'.

In recent times he is the big 'what if' story because we don't know how good he could have been and we would have had a great fighter to test him on.

 

Pirog has this weird shoulder punch move lol would love to see him vs. GGG

 

The Ishida fight took place after his back injury. He fought the last few fights with a bad back that just kept worsening until the forced retirement.

 

Bar GGG he would be the best and by a distance at 160
