King doesn't have that kind of power anymore. The WBC has lined up a couple of mandos. If Stiverne does win King won't have the title long. Unless ofcourse Stiverne turns out to be better than we think

I'm actually somewhat serious. I believe and really hope he'll win tonight, but you can't deny his weakness.

Wrong. I am Mexican and after watching the first fight, don't see how Arreola wins. I could care less about fat boy

Now Haiti and Don King own the WBC title while it lasts. There are some negotiations about Vlad fighting Stiverne for the WBC title, then defending it against Wilder. Of course he also has to fight Pulev, will knock him out, so it's good to get those guys out of the way. If Arreola could beat Stiverne for 5 rounds, landing lots of punches, then Vlad will murder him...................

arreola didnt beat him 5 rounds..... and if you forgot the outcome he got knocked the fuc.k out.
Stiverne may not be able to beat Wlad, but it wont be a blow out....stiverne is better than puluev

Yes it is gonna be shut out win for Klitschko. Stiverne is still the same guy who gets jabbed silly. Do you think Wlad lunges in like arreola and gets tagged like that?

Of course any guy who can punch is threat for Wlad but not Stiverne.

King doesn't have the leverage anymore to pull any strings or milk a title. They probably will take on the mandatories with Wilder and whoever the second one ends up being but who really cares? The whole reason those mandatories exist is because Vitali wouldn't make a decision forever.

What I still don't particularly understand is the idea that it's somehow a huge affront if Wlad cannot unify. Every single other boxing champion in every single other division has to deal with politics getting in the way of complete unification; why should I feel any worse about it in this case than I would for Ward at 168 or Rigondeaux at 126 for instance? Besides, I believe there wouldn't have been any promotional politics getting in the way if Wlad had wanted to unify with the previous WBC beltholder ;)

King has lost his power, Stiverne has two options fight Wilder or get stripped or wbc allows unification and he fights Wlad. I would think he would ask Don to make the latter fight and get out of the mandatory if they can because he'll earn more than 4x the payday. He fought tonight for 225k, Leapai got a cool million for Wlad, I would think Stiverne with a belt could get 2m.

Don King is celebrating 40 years of managing world champs - mostly heavyweights - YES he is a crazy, waffling, demented, cut-throat, selfish old *******. BUT 40 years! mad respect! - to an ex-con. Wonder if he plans to cash out with Vlad or make some easy money on muc lesser oppomrnts

The fight with Wlad will happen when Wlad wants it - too much money at stake there.
