Donaire is a stylistic mismatch for Vic. Donaire is also a better fighter. Fighting a guy who is a stylistic nightmare and also better than you are? Knowing Vic, you can say "He has a puncher's chance at least" but then knowing Donaire you can say "No he doesn't" Tha being said, I think Vic wins a rematch with Mares, and would have a better showing against Agbeko. But I still pick Agbeko to win a rematch.
1) Donaire beating Vic Again is not a step up 2) Donaire dont need to grow a pair to fight a man he already dominated & Kayoed years ago
No, Darchinyan would -NOT- happily take Donaire on. He's been ducking Donaire all this years. When he blasted Sidorenko and Montiel? A quiet mother****er, that guy is. Darchniyan's like an absolute **** version of Naseem Hamed... Now, Donaire wants to fight Moreno and take his belt, but there's a mess between him and Arum, though that seems to be being wrapped up right now. He has also said he did want to fight the winner of Showtime's little gig.
Vic's daddy is currently in a middle of a cluster**** between GBP and Top Rank. He was supposed to be with GBP until TR ruined it. There's no doubt that GBP would've given him a fight with Mares.
Youve already mentioned 2, but it really all depends on how quickly he can wrap up his contractual issues ..
Once the issue with Arum is resolved then I dont see why donaire cant fight the winner of the tourney... Fighting Vic again isnt a step up, he needs to take on someone new When does this tourney end anyway?
Donaire has probs making 118 will fight a good fight here before heading north 122 for rigondeux, nishioka or vasquez jnr then Gambao.
Explain then why Vic and his team ensure he is far more active than Donaire and quality opposition to boot? But you be a fan of a man that puts together a couple of great fights over a period of three years and bore's the **** out of the rest of us by sitting on the sidelines.:deal
Stoppage or decision . . . i'll still pick Donaire. Vic won tonight's fight because he hurt Perez in the very first round then sent him to the canvas in the second round. Perez was unable to recover from that, thus the results. If Perez was just able to recover and hang on for a couple rounds more . . . I can see Vic losing steam and Perez taking over from middle to the later rounds. Vic is a one handed fighter while Donaire uses both hands with incredible accuracy and timing. If Donaire doesn't land solidly to KO him again . . . he will win on points.
Perez would have needed to turn the fight right around just to get a draw. Doesn't matter though, Donaire would win a rematch. No UD, just a plain old KO in the mid rounds.
