if Donaire fights Rigondeaux or Gamboa it will be the end for him ...

Gamboa is open all day for counters, he fights with his hands down and tastes the canvas quite often. Donaire by Split Decision or even K.O Gamboa, Rigondeaux gets outpointed.

Nonito got alot of bigger fish to fry than this Rigo guy. The guy ran inside the ring and covered every freaking squared inch of the ring. He needs to grow some balls.

How many boxers do you know were fighting an ex-champ in his prime, on his 8th fight, On PPV and fighting for a belt? None, you have seen none, just lets wait and c how he fights his next few fights and then we can take from there.

You have to be careful with that kind of assessment mking, because that is the first impression all opponents get of him as well, and it is correct, but only to a degree.

Here is a more comprehensive assessment on Gamboa:

    Good
    - Very good hand speed
    - Good power
    - Good combinations
    - Very good chin (gets back up after a knockdown)
    - Good footwork
    - Knows how to bait opponents into making mistakes
    - Knows how to use his head for "unintentional" headbutts
    - Like Donaire, he has very good boxing instinct in judging the opponent's range (ONLY when he's fighting smart, which he usually isn't)
    - Has a good inside game
    - Has very good reach
    - Has good head movement (albiet is underrated because he comes forward too much)
    - NEVER quits, and keeps coming forward to frustrate his opponents (Like Maidana but with more skill and cockieness)

    Bad
    - He is clumsy fighter (doesn't know how to keep his distance is always open to counters after engaging the opponent i.e. doesn't get back out fast enough)
    - He is a cocky fighter (keeps his hands down WAY too much and gets knockdown rather easily because of this)
    - He is very impatient
    - He always comes forward, and is susceptible to defensive fighters (like Donaire)
    - Doesn't sit on his punches
    - Doesn't know how to change his strategy if he sees the current one isn't working

I see Donaire taking Gamboa in a UD right now, but Gamboa has the skills to cause an upset IF he fights defensively and cautionsly.

Once Donaire beefs up he will beat Gamboa. He can box to a win on points or just KTFO of an opponent with a single punch. Let's see how he carries his power, but his speed and skills shouldn't disappear.

Gamboa is good, but IMO not that good

    You didn't get his point.

"Bigger" means body mass. Compared to Donaire, Gamboa is Mike Tyson "Big". Gamboa could be trouble for Donaire if he used his head and fought cautionsly, but, considering he is 19-0, he is liable to make mistakes, and Donaire will make him pay every time he does.

You are a Donaire fan, that's what you are, ND hasn't never been in the ring with a faster and more powerful boxer like Gamboa, if Concepcion put a dent on Nonitos just imagine what Gamboa could do to him, admit it you wish Gamboa was a pinoy.

Laugh all you want at run, but that is what he did. I say that as a fan and a person who thinks that Pure Boxers are the most aesthetically pleasing style.

I love some footwork and elusiveness, but that did not look "easy". That looked like "Oh crap, I know I will get the nod on the cards." After the KD, he wanted no parts of Cordoba.

I am going to rewatch the fight. Many have disagreed with my views on this thread so far. Perhaps I missed something the first time around.
