if Donaire fights Rigondeaux or Gamboa it will be the end for him ...

Rigondeaux still fights like an amatuer. No matter how much stronger he is he isn't a tough guy and needs to change his mentality, his refusal to throw a punch unless he knows it will land is nonsense for his weight class. Gamboa is another matter. I expect there to be some real problems for Donaire there because Gamboa will open up with extreme power on him. I think people are overrating Donaire's power at this point.

I'm not talking about height or weight, yes montiel was heavier but that make him vulnerable against a natural stronger and bigger guy like Nonito, and after all those wars and at his age, it did more bad than good, he was slower and easier to hit, and Concepción was 119 lbs at the time of the fight, still he looked smaller than Nonito, and Caballero is a freak of nature not 2 many like him.

Its too early to make this kind of assessment right now. I believe that Donaire will just do fine when he moves up in weight. Only time will tell. There are some die hard fans out there who truly believes their favorite boxer are perfect. When the outcome of the fight doesn't go their way, they make excuses for whatever reasons and say if they fight this boxer or that boxer he will not win. :yep

It was a terrible match up for Gamboa. They put Gamboa in with a big, tough, rangier southpaw fighter after Gamboa was coming off a long layoff.

Rigo lacks balance? Absolutely brilliant. I hope this guy is still around to be ridiculed. Boxmaster?

So many people shamed in this thread.

  12. I never wanted to comment on Rigondeaux vs. Donaire before it actually took place because It always seemed like a 50/50 fight to me. Could Donaire's timing get him a KO or would Rigondeax's speed be key in getting a UD?

Rigo is clearly a beast. This fight was eye opening. He seems a little small for 126 but I still see him beating them all EXCEPT maybe Gary Russell Jr. if that fight ever comes off.

You are overestimating Russell Jr. big time. He is closer to the class of Khan than the class of Rigo.

Ya I just rewatched that fight last night, and Farenas didn't do nearly as well as I remembered. I thought that punch ruined Gamboa's career, but Gamboa fought back and had zip in those punches after he got up. Yuriorkis is just coming off a long lay off, he will be finding his range again soon. Shame if he can't make 126 anymore, although Uchiyama will get starched. Fkin Arum.
