and they both were in the same condition as when they fought. Does Douglas always win.... does Tyson still get some wins even not in his best form? Second part.. let's say it is the tyson from when he was in better shape and frame of mind... Does Douglas get any wins out of ten fights.. or does Tyson roll him everytime?
What if Tyson floored him at the start of the round, or even the middle of the round opposed to the last few seconds when the bell rang as soon as he got up....
So you believe it had less to do with Tyson's condition/state of mind and more to do with Douglas would always be Tyson's Krpytonite?
fight was too one sided for me to favour mike in a fantasy fight. Sure Tyson could prepare better but then again so could Douglas.
So do you think Holmes would beat any version of Ali?....Douglas couldn't of came in any better shape than he did that night.....Tyson didn't even have professional corner-men in there with him.... His preperation was a farce.
Ali was shot. Douglas could have kept a tighter guard and had more intense concentration. He didn't fight a perfect fight, he just kicked tysons arse.
I would favour Douglas 9 times out of 10 over Tokyo Tyson, prime Tyson, Kevin Rooney trained Tyson, post Douglas pre prison Tyson and so on... Likewise I would favour Holyfield over Tyson 9 out of 10 times. Mike was still a great fighter though, these are just bad match ups for him
In the same condition Douglas would probably win most but not. Based just on that one fight we know can Tyson came very close to polishing Douglas with one punch. Chances are excellent he could have hit Douglas even more squarely and counted him out in a sequel. Still, Douglas would likely carry most of the ten. However, there's a big difference between the jaded, glassy eyed Tyson who turned up in that ring, compared to the snarling, perfectly tuned demon who squashed Spinks. I'm among Tyson's biggest detractors, but I have to give him that, that he was nowhere near his best.
You can bet your ass he fought a perfect fight....His jab and combiniation punching broke the richter scale. That Douglas was never seen before or after that night.....He would of given any boxer an extremly hard fight.....
