How far do you think he'd go? further? or do you think he's achive less... Before you scoff, its a fair question.. As great as the win against Barkley was when he was massively outsized and almost everything was against him including his age... Im not sure I see him beating Martinez or even Pavlik to be honest... AS great as he was, he obviously cleans up to around 147 but hugely struggles after that... Your thoughts??
YDKSAB if you think that Pavlik stands a chance not even at his peak He gave Hagler a run for his money he would beat the **** out of Kelly Martinez has a better chance but he is also a small MW, so I can see Duran beating him too.
His resume would have more depth, but less quality. He might "go farther" (unify championships in multiple weight classes), but would have beaten and competed against lesser fighters. In the end his ranking would be similar due to dominance, but not as good. To put it in comparative perspective, his lightweight reign, welterweight career, and middleweight victories have most ranking him above Leonard; dominating today's LW,WW, and MW divisions would not likely outdo the victories against Hearns, Hagler, Benitez, and Lalonde had.

Duran would be just as successful today as he was in the 70s & 80s. He would stop Pavlik. Mayweather and Pacman would be his biggest rivals.

From 135 to 147 i dont see anyone beating him above that weight it depends on what Duran would show up the disciplined Duran who took his training serious or the Duran that went on food eating sprees and ballooned all the way to close to 180 pounds and then had to drain himself to make weight, at his best i really dont see anyone around today beating him.
If Duran was in his prime today he would be the undisputed p4p best in the world... no fighter would beat him from 154 downwards... hard to judge him at MW tbh, he was a LW for the majority of his career & had to dig very deep at age 37 to edge the much larger Barkely.... but the younger version that gave Hagler a great fight for 15 rounds would probably beat any MW today.
