Cooper could have easily won the fight. Tyson would finished EH under your scenario.

    Yes

Wass can write a phd worthy dissertation why he thinks not,

but it is clear as day Holyfield was very vulnerable that night.

Even post Douglas, Tyson was much more dangerous than an inspired Cooper.

He hit harder was just as fast, had better stamina and strength.

Some feel Holyfield always fought to the level of his competition, and would have been more focused and raised his level for Tyson.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know

I think it would have been a war.

If Tyson is allowed to land as cleanly and with the same regularity as Cooper, then it's difficult to imagine Holyfield staying upright for long.

Holyfield would never have fought Tyson the same way he fought Cooper. It was Holyfield having zero respect for a C level fighter who could whollup. He almost paid the price for it.

Evander Holyfield always had a tendency to play down to his competition. You would have seen a different Holyfield if he was fighting Tyson that night.

This could be it. If Tyson had Holyfield in the same trouble Cooper had him in, he would have finished Evander no question, in my mind. But Holyfield respected Tyson and knew he had to be more careful when dealing with him.

maybe, I think people are making a mistake to think that Holyfield would fight Tyson the same way he fought Cooper; I sure as hell don't. Who is to say that Tyson would be able to absorb those ridiculous combos Holy was throwing? Holyfield was also really cranking the uppercut in this bout which would be useful against Tyson.

Tyson also wasn't prime in 1991, Holyfield would have the edge imo.

It's always been my opinion that Holyfield would beat Tyson prime for prime, think he always had the right intangibles, the chin and the skillset to get it done. Mentally he wouldn't fold to Tyson

well, he didn't fight douglas, whom he respected, like he fought cooper.

tyson would have seen more of the holyfield that blitzed douglas. no smirking from the real deal. it seems like holyfield would have always stopped tyson.
