    What makes you think that Ward doesn't know this? You can't name a single move that Ward does every fight besides punch but we all know that Kovalev is going to right to land a good right hand all night and if he doesn't connect the fights over for him. We are 2 weeks away from watching Ward sweep another victory in a new division. The only begotten Son of Frank Ward will never lose.

    I have no idea who's going to win, so I don't have anything to say on your take, but I agree with where you're saying that some people on these boards act as if Ward has absolutely no idea how Kovalev likes to fight.

    He hurt Chilemba with a left hook to the body, he almost knocked Pascal's head off with a left jab in the 3rd round of their first match, he hurt and dropped Sillakh with a clubbing left hook, he hurt Campillo with a left, he dropped Agnew with a left hook early and broke his ribs with a left hook, so you're wrong.

    Wheelchair Willie used to claim Fonfara would also beat Kovalev. I take that guy about a seriously as a notice for jury duty.

    I remember his fight with Hopkins. Why did he struggle with an 49 year old man who never really punched back, but feinted on him all night even after the knockdown. He struggled with Chilemba a lot!! I'm super confident that Ward will dazzle Kovalev and take this clean, unless HBO gives him the Gonzales vs Cuadras score card!!1

    I'm interested to see how Kovalev is going to deal with Ward on the inside. Will he stay composed when Ward starts roughing him up? Ward can also fight at long range as well, and can also keep this fight in the center of the ring and win the fight that way too. My only concern for Ward is what's going to be his reaction when Kovalev hits him flush, cause Ward is going to take some shots! Man this is such a great fight!

    It's all I've got. I really can't diss Kovalev because I like the guys style. I like this fight, but I believe Ward will be victorious. Kovalev has improved a bit but simple feints give him the ..willies!:eusa_dance:
    It is going to be slow and long. If you think Sergey is going to suddenly KO Ward, I will ban myself for 3 months if he does. Hell, I will take off that night if he knocks Ward down. I will tell Kevin Willis he has a big pecker and can **** for hours if he can get off a power right jab.

    That's like saying 'Ward only has a clinch and a left hook'. Although funny, it's just as far from the truth.
    Both have a pretty full arsenal, and both have had control of the ring in all their bigger fights because of it.
    For both these guys it's the best opponent they have come across since the start of their careers, and both are very complete fighters.

    I think you're underrating Sergey's overall skillset. If he only had a right hand, than Hopkins would've been able to diffuse his offense with relative ease.

    I will admit though sometimes when I watch Sergey I'm not that impressed with his technical ability, but it's been very effective up to this point in his career.
