Agreed. Couture is super human, but nothing about him beats Fedor really. On the feet Fedor smashes him IMO, on the ground he couldn't control him, I doubt he submits him... Dunno where Couture could win this really, but all kinds of ways for Fedor to win. Fedor lost to Werdum cuz he has one of the best ground games in MMA. Of course Fedor lost his last couple of fights cuz he's old and he really doesn't look like he trains that much to me (gotta give it to Randy at his age cuz he's always kept in shape).
I've never understood why fedor wouldn't fight randy. I think he would have tooled him any which way he wanted. And because of randys commercial success it would have been perceived as a huge win
Fedor most likely would have beaten Couture at that point as he was more in his stride than Randy who didn't rise to his full potential until he returned to the UFC. The 2007 version of Couture and Fedor is another story and seeing as how Fedor had trouble with every Greco-specialist he's faced - it's safe to say that Couture would have given him one hell of a fight.
cause randy was in the ufc and fedor wasnt the only chance they ever had to fight was in the king of kings tourney
Fedor would have torn Couture to shreds. A fight like that could have ended Randys career prematurely.
2005-2006 Fedor > Any other HW so far. He Just had the killer touch in every fight... it was a great period. Lynchburg
it was those dam negotiations fedor wanted to keep fighting in m-1 global but dana wouldn't allow it i still dont understand why fedor didnt sign with dana win lose he would have gotten 2 mill per fight how can he just pass an offer like that :?
Fedor wasn't the problem. Dana had a court injunction that prevented Couture from fighting outside of the UFC. It was the UFC who nixed the bout because of legal proceedings as Couture was sueing them and they counter sued. Fedor had nothing to do with any of that.
