I can't believe Matthew Hatton is even an option.
I saw him fight one time and was not impressed.
This is stupid. They are gonna sign it and make it into some brother revenge type bull****.
    Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I don't believe that it will be "The beginning of the end" for boxing Bill! But I tell you something mate, your comments regarding everything else are how all fans of boxing should feel! If these two jokers can't find a way to fight each other, for a guaranteed $20 million apiece and then decide to fight complete no-hopers like M-Hatton then they are not worth a light! ATGs? Before this debacle? Yes! Following it (And supposing their choice of opponent is as we suspect)? No! I think it's as simple as that!

There goes your key words "if he wants" but we all know Floyd doesn't want to fight Mosley, Margarito, Williams, Cotto and now he's trying a way out of Pacquiao fight. Floyds options are very limited.

Ahh OK then what happen if the person can't pay the huge amount of money for damages compensation?

Mayweather could fight Matthew Hatton no problem. In the UK. The english would be happy, he'd sell out Manchester, the brits would tune in in hopes for a miracle and see Hatton win, and Mayweathers hardcore fans would defend this match-up as a legitimate challenge.. the paycheck would be there, not 40 millions, but still a good payday, and lil Floyd doesn't give a damn about his legacy anyways..

With Margarito's possible reinstatement looming, Top Rank could elect to match him against Pac and renew Pac's rivalry against Mexican fighters.

I would love to see Mayweather step up and fight PTP who apparently is going to make the move back down to 47.

And the winner of Mosley/Berto obviously would be an option for either fighter.

Margarito is perfect for either fighter. Margarito will take ANY fight to get his credibility back. He is radioactive and has little choice in regards to taking on top boxers.

Mosley/Berto winner is the next match up but it seems both camps have little interest.

You can't go to prison in a civil case by definition. If you can't pay the best they can do is put a lien type on any holding account you have (savings, bonds, cars, real estate). A criminal court is the only one that can send you to prison. If you try to hide your money illegally then they can charge you with fraud. That is a criminal offense thus can be punishable with prison time.

Thanks for the clarification. I think Floyd has the money to pay at least $50 million damage compensation.
