floyd's stock will still be intact win or loss, his fights are all entertaining and breath taking anyway. i can't say the same thing 'bout manny, he's way too boring.
I have to agree with this and the problem is after a loss he won't be nearly the draw. He has admitted that people watch him to see him lose the second that happens most casual fans will stop caring about him.
If they both lose than a Pacquaio/Mayweather can still be made with less attraction than what could of been. If Pacquiao loses to Clottey than his stock drops and the casual fans will start to forget about him. If Mayweather loses to a fellow P4P in Mosley, he will be scrutinized but will be a bigger draw than Pacquaio.
Probably Floyd. He's had a LOT more criticism on his previous opponents, i.e. having never faced a top WW....**** like that. Pac's lost before and is still seen as a smaller guy going against much bigger men.
I would say Floyds, if Manny were to lose then people would probably ease off of the steroid allegations
Hard one--Mosley is better than Clottey, but Pac can always say he was fighting the bigger guy etc, while Floyd has been talking smack about Mosley for years and protecting that 0, so i would have to say it is a bigger hit for Floyd if he loses.
Floyd would take the biggest hit because he is undefeated but in reality losing to Mosley shouldn't be seen as a big shock if he were to win.
greatness in a fighter can also be defined how u bounce back after a loss. I think both their stocks drop respectively. What they do afterwards is important. Look at shane, he has 5 losses. but people respect his all out go for the gusto attitude to show i am the best even if it means jumping back into the ring with teh guy who just beat me, he is old school. with even the best losing back then, i get the impression that people focus too much on loosing nowadays. he fought oscar twice, he fought vernon twice he fought winky twice he fought fernando twice he wanted to fight cotto twice, but even as the winner, cotto didnt want any
Given the where Clottey and Mosley are today...I would say Manny due to Clottey coming off a close lose to Cotto in which Manny beat the snot out of! Mosley just KO'ed a guy that has never been KO'ed (but Margorito is still a cheating piece of ****:yep) If the roles were reversed I would have to say FLoyd.
