If Floyd asks for more than 50% share? Is he Ducking?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by AxlRose, Nov 26, 2011.

  1. Case in Point.

poochiao beat Marquez by around two points and had a hard time figuring him out. Fact

But mayweather beat Marquez like an amateur by at least twelve points. Fact

If you add the knockdown he did to marquez, that's thirteen points. Fact

Now what's two points verses thirteen points? Get the drift

Not really. Guess that depends on what you consider 'deserving', and what it's based on. Being a "slightly bigger draw" isn't a good enough reason to have some ego purse split kill the fight after all that's happened. But hey, if Floyd does insist on more, and Pac agrees, then no problem. But if that kills the fight, then that will be quite the statement from Mayweather Jr.

floyd deserves more and it should be 65/35 but lets be kind to pac since he is broke now and give him the extra 5% so 60/40

Wait, what the **** happened that makes all these idiots claim Floyd deserves more? Have they even announced the official numbers for Floyd v Ortiz?

Most of the world just saw Manny lose to Marquez. There's reason number 1. Manny's stock plummeted that fight.

I don't see why this is even being discussed. Bob Arum clearly said that they are not interested in persuing a fight with Mayweather at this time.

The ducker is clear - Bob Arum!

how is that a fact? putting fact after any opinion without any proof or evidence doesn't make that a fact.

He had another tough fight with a guy that has given him hell twice before. I don't see how that has anything to do with Mayweather. Especially since Floyd and Marquez don't fight with the same style. Pac still has a better resume than Floyd and will bring Floyd his biggest pay day. So this thread is bull****.

Floyd is the man. He makes money no matter who he fights. Based on Pacs recent performance, he gets what Floyd gives him. **** PAC and Arum.

    No harm in asking.

But if such a demand were to prevent the fight, then yes, he'd be back to ducking.

Floyd has historically sold more PPVs. Manny lost to Marquez and is in turn no longer seen by most as P4P #1. Add these things together and you could definitetly make an argument for a non 50-50 split in Mayweather's favor.
