Floyd is ducking Ivan Calderon. After Ivan Calderon KOed Hatton in sparring. Hes wanted no part of him.

Floyd will never break top 50 on my list if he doesnt fight Ivan.

personally ive enjoyed him enough in my 4-5 years of following him to see him ride off into the sunset and he inspires me enough (his work ethic) for me not to want to see him lose

but it would be nice if he could pull off all 4 and shut the haters mouths....

the funny thing is i used to think cotto would be a very rough match up for floyd but after watching him tonight it really changed my mind

to get to top 5, floyd has some work to do... Robinson, Greb, Armstrong...its damn near impossible to accomplish as much as they did. Mayweather would have to accomplish something insane, like beating Pavlik.

    It's stupidity.

So called boxing fans are all of a sudden so impressed with a KO victory over a pretty good junior welterweight, Floyd must be an all time great. I believe differently. Floyd was made to look very good against a one dimensional, nervous, over eager, scrappy, junior welterweight. Did Floyd look that good against De La Hoya? Hell no, he was close to getting a draw by my card.

Floyd has to take the fights that are there now, that's Paul Williams, Cotto, and even Margarito and Mosley if they come back strong. You don't get a locked top 15 of all time spot by beating Ricky Hatton or Baldomir. Sorry.

You need to watch the De La Hoya fight in slow motion.. He's a technician.. I guess only people who've stepped in a ring will understand his ability.. I mean Sugar Ray Leonard's even said it.. I'de certainly take his opinion over yours..

Take whatever opinion you like, but the reality is that the De La Hoya fight was close and a hard night for Floyd Money Maker. Sugar Ray Leonard was a technican, but also made fights exciting to watch whilst still beating opponents like Duran, Hearns, Hagler, and Benitez. In a whole different league to Money Maker.

And I'm not a hater, I accept Floyd is great and by far the best fighter around today but isn't anywhere near top 15 of all time. Especially considering most of you base this on a Hatton victory.

eze knocked it on the head

thats the one sad thing i think 90% of people don't understand that he shouldn't really be in the welterweight division most of those guys just seem way to big for him i always thought he was small as **** for the division and i guess he stays there because the big pay days are there

and its not a video game its real life.....

the only fight that makes sense is cotto and its still taking a step back ward

the only people that would respect floyd for fighting paul williams or margarito are die hard boxing fans the general public doesnt know or care who these two are so why waste the time?

from a personal perspective i can understand why floyd would not take a shane fight ... while floyd was on the come up he begged shane for a fight supposedly for a while and now that floyds big shane wants it and on top of this shane was a sparring partner for oscar? cmon now... a sparing parter?.. so quickly the tables turn ... i wouldnt take it either floyd haha...

now cotto on the other hand.. he has definitely earned the fight from a talent stand point but in terms of money and importance of the fight it also goes backwards.. floyd goes from oscar (super hollywood, adored by all, r&b singer, mega star, ppv king) de la hoya to ricky ( has 10 theme songs, most popular fighter across the pond, hugely hyped, usa vs brittain) hatton .... so if he takes the fight I definetly understand and if he doesnt i understand also

he has more to lose by fighting cotto than there is to gain...

floyds proved his point and in 20 years he will be known as the greatest fighter of our generation and definetly an all time great..

hate it or love it its true
