If Floyd beats Canelo at 152, will Canelo still be undefeated?

When Pac fought Cotto, Cotto didn't re hydrate to an extra 16lbs on fight night. When Canelo fought Trout, both men came in at over 170lbs on fight night. That extra weight gain makes a big difference, if your fighting an opponent that doesn't normally fight at that weight. Cotto vs Pac compare to Floyd vs Canelo would be OK if Canelo isn't allowed to re hydrate damn near 20lbs over 154lbs. Like him and Trout did for there fight. The difference with that fight is that, both fighters fight at 154lbs regularly and Floyd does not.

good post. i appriciate your honesty. i'm not really moaning about it though. I probably wouldn't have said anything about it, if it wasn't for what he said in the buildup to Cotto. if i'm going to pay my hard earned money to buy this PPV, then I'm sure as hell gunna call FMJ out on this. and let me get one thing clear too : i like and respect Floyd Mayweather Jr. He's a hell of a boxer. Anyone who's done what he's done deserves respect, but it's messed up that he tried to pull a fast one on Canelo and the fans here. And DLH is essentially in bed with Mayweather on the catch weight. for him to say Canelo agreed to the catch weight is basically his way of spinning it so Mayweather doesn't look like a *****, and we see right though that BS.

that said, this whole catch weight BS could backfire on Floyd. Canelo could pull a Rocky III and get into incredible shape, lose a few pounds healthily and effectively, not lose any power, and gain speed and more elusiveness. I heard Canelo is in LA. Regardless, Floyd comes across as a hyprocrit and a guy that is scared of facing Canelo at his best, at the standard weight. It's revealing.
