If Floyd beats Cotto ... what are the haters going to say next?

They will say "Floyd is ducking insert name of talented yet unproven oponent here!"

 

His legacy is secure, anything in the future is just adding to it. He is the best of a generation, and among the best P4P all time.

 

Floyd deserves to be P4P #1, but that doesn't mean he should stop fighting the best. There is no point in a rematch with Oscar so why not fight Cotto in September instead? It would make much more sense considering they are the 2 best Welterweight's in the world. I believe Floyd would beat Cotto also, but this is a fight that needs to happen.

id say they will start the margo thing allover again, when margo ko's cintron again then will be back on the pbf ducked and his still ducking margo.

It's about time you had a good post. Clearly, no one would have leg to stand on as far as criticism as to whom Floyd is fighting. Right now, Cotto is on track to fight Gomez then the Margo/Cintron winner, then Clottey. If he won all of those fights, a fight with Floyd would be for the WBC/WBA/IBF titles. If Floyd were to win that fight no one could say anything.

 

This fight is not happening.
