His whole welter and junior welter career was a ploy to bring out Oscar from his one fight in 3 year layoff to a big money fight in which he would not risk anything on his way there.

Paul was there Marg was there and like everyone knows Marg was the best welter at the time and had his belt longer than any other welter.

Don't think I posted it on this board (so I'm leaving myself wide open for a pics or STFU here) but I ended up settling on Manny by SD. I saw a back and forth fight with both guys having their moments, and Manny's stamina being the deciding factor. I honestly didn't think after a year of fighting at 150, that dropping the last three pounds would have such a drastic effect on Goldie.

Between that and having doubts about Manny's boxing ability, I missed cashing out on the massacre. Didn't miss the train with Hatton though. :good

 

I dont like to boycott this one, But this one is a legit match up. I just dont see it favoring Floyd a lot.

He needs to take this fight no matter if the purse if 55-45 against him. If he is convinced he is the best and win. Pac will ask for a rematch, Floyd could even say 70-30 and Pac would agree.

What you need to do is quit thinking Pac has avoided Black fighters cause you are basically saying he ducked them.Who should he have fought?

Now race aside Floyd hasn't fought an offensive master in his prime for quite some time.
While Marg wasn't a genius he was certainly effective,Mosley has a great offensive arsenal, Cotto has a damn near perfect arsenal if it wasn't for his stamina issues and willingness to engage,Williams offense is what makes him so good its also his defense.

These type of fights are what he didn't want any part of.

Now the Marquez fight I'm not completely mad at but I really don't want to see Marquez above 135.As I think you can tell from his last two fights in moving up to 135 he has lost a step in both hand and foot speed.

 

You're twisting it to Floyd called them out at "the right time" clearly hinting he ducked him.

I was a big fan of Floyd at one time and thought he had the talent to be great for the sport.Then he was fighting Gatti,Brusseles,Sharmba,Baldo then got everyone hyped about a Hoya fight.

It's not that I don't think he's a good fighter I just don't think he should get much credit for his career above lightweight seeing at how it has been obviously handpicked.
