I'll probably hear **** for this thread but whatever...

if floyd beats pac he deserves full cred because this fight could be dangerous if he fights with a bad game plan... he could easily lose... a lot of people will throw that small excuse around but i think manny could beat shane mosley so i think this small stuff should be irrelevant...

manny is smaller than most welters but at the same time he is more dangerous than most...

i doubt manny could beat clottey, margarito or pw though...

I agree he deserves it. And as much as either one would get full respect from me, I think don't think Floyd would get the full public respect he would deserve because he has an annoying public image. I mean i don't mind brash dudes obviously, but the guy just isn't funny and is terrible at speaking.

He deserves full credit, but jeez did it take him a while to fight someone dangerous...

nobody is really flat out saying it but i can already see a lot **** talkers saying floyd is bigger... floyd is bigger but pacman is so offensively gifted that his size is kind of irrelevant... atleast at 147 between smaller guys

I think floyd holds his own destiny. He can fight....adn I mean FIGHT and win that way he'll be getting more credit for beating PAC than anything he has done thus far in his career.

Now I'm not saying brawl with PAC. Just take some risk instead of looking for the path of NO RESISTANCE. He he fights like he did with DLH or JMM.....and wins. That won't be considered a great win even though he did technically win a decision. That win would look like Walds win over Sam Peter.

Floyd needs a career defining fight with someone his equal. But he has to understand that the opporunity to enhance his legacy lies in the way he decides to fight.

Before Saturday, I would not have given Floyd 100% credit for beating a smaller Pac like he did JMM. But after seeing what Pac did to Cotto, I'll give him 100% credit as I somehow give Pac a great chance against him as I used to.

a win is a win.... i dont see how the style of win has any importance on it.... thats like criticizing vitali for beating the **** out of arreola... because arreola isnt skilled enough to do anthing but come str8 ahead and eat jabs..

if pacquiao isnt skilled enough to out do floyd.... thats his problem.. not floyds

    pretty much

Floyd deserves no credit. Floyd only fights guys that he knows he can beat. If he fights Pac then that means he's reviewed the tapes and knows that Pac can't beat him, and that would make him a cherrypicker. If he doesn't fight him, that means he knows it's a dangerous fight which would mean he's ducking Pac.

listen.... im telling you this with confidence..

if floyd fights the wrong style against pacman he can lose....

if floyd fights a perfect fight against anyone @ 147 he would win... so your way of thinking is incorrect

WELL DUH! :patsch Champion in 7 different weight classes. Number 1 pound for pound. Proven to be able to handle punches from a great body puncher from the welterweight division. Not to mention Pacquiao has the best offensive skill in the sport today.:deal
