While Cotto fought "real" welterweights, Mayweather moved up to fight a real Jr. Middleweight in DLH in his 5th division for his 6th championship.

Isn't that what Margarito refused to do to avenge a loss against Santos at Jr. Middleweight and Williams at welterweight?, yeah, the same Margarito who apparently scares the living **** out of boxing as a whole.

There's no difference at all. Isn't Mayweather being talked down about for moving down to fight Marquez in a clear attempt to prepare for the catcweight Pacquiao will demand?

It's terrible for Mayweather to do and a coward's move but it's perfectly fine for Williams to move down and fight guys twice smaller in size. I'm sure you know the size difference between Williams/Cotto, Williams/Mayweather is NOTHING like Mayweather/Marquez and not even close.

It was also okay for Margarito call out smaller opponents while Mayweather, who made a career fighting bigger guys in higher weight divisions, is a coward for fighting Hatton and Marquez.

The difference is how certain criticism is allowed for some guys but isn't for guys you or anyone else targets negatively.

I'm sure it's also perfectly fine and heroic of Cotto to move down to 145 to fight Pacquiao, right?

The one thing I can't stand is when guys say Floyd didn't want to fight Cotto or Margarito, or any ww's as if they are soo tough lol.... WW's are supposed to fight each other. Floyd is older than all those guys, and started at a lower weight, so why would he indead line up to fight ww's when he is looking to fight the best ww.

Floyd didn't get to fight Freitas or Casamayor as they ddnt want the fight, so he fought Chico, demanded a fight with Hamed who was big then fought guys like Chavez and very tough guys at 130, fought Castillo at 135, wanted a Cotto fight at 140 after Gatti, and Cotto's people said, "not ready", and fought Baldy(who owns a victory over Clottey) who would've probably beat Margarito at that time-take your pick. You guys kill me.

Saying inferior fighters would beat Floyd gets sickening to read lol becuse you have nothing else to say. Yeah, Floyd fought Mitchell, and Bruseles...other than that, there isn't a single guy on his resume other than early on who was not a capable fighter on Floyd's resume.

You can spin it anyway you like.....Cotto at the time was not annointing himself p4p the best as Mayweather was......if Cotto was saying he was'nt ready, you go on to the next best fighter.

.....a fighter that runs his mouth and annoints himself the best, then has the burden of backing it up when challenged by real threats......Margarito and Paul Williams both challenged Mayweather, both fighters who many experts thought they were handfuls to Mayweather.......

....what does Mayweather do? He retires!

.....then comes back when he estimates the coast is clear!

......please dont insult our intelligence. The two fighters that Mayweather feared were lined up next in his division for him to conquer.
.....those challenges posed to much a danger. At least speak the truth about it.

It's an great assumption to make that he retired because he feared fighting PW and Margo  Mayweather retired for two reasons...to heal and to be missed. Guess what, it worked! Everybody wants to see him fight Cotto or Pac. When it comes to making money and being smart, Mayweather is one of the best, if not the best today at it.

everyone knows that if PBF knocks out JMM he will get a ton of praise with a little bit of hate cause of the weight. And thats the way it should be imo
