Don't think that's gonna benefit him. He should just stick to outfoxing Maidana and try and win on points

    I'm not understanding you.

People don't expect FMJ to get KOs anymore, and that's partly because of his style, and partly 'cos as you explain he's often fighting bigger guys.

But your initial preposition was 'If Floyd brutally KO's Maidana, will the haters...(etc)'. The answer is of course that Floyd would get massive credit, just as he would if he'd KOd most of his last 5 or 6 opponents.

I'm sure there'd be a few who'd try to discredit it, but it's a lot harder to discredit or argue a KO than a cruise to a PTS victory and KOs have the added benefit of gaining new fans and generating excitement in what is ultimately a violent sport.

*****s are always the ones to bring up the argument of same day weight and the same people who demanded rehydration limits for Canelo which led to the catchweight.

You are listing excuse after excuse as to why Floyd can't get KOs. He gives away weight after the weigh-in because he doesn't rehydrate like these other fighters too. That is really Floyd's choice and the problem I had with the Canelo fight was that was used to make the catchweight of 152. And Floyd used money to convince Canelo to come down to 152. That is why that fight will always have an asterisk by it because we will always remember it was Floyd vs a drained Canelo, because Floyd was too scared to fight Canelo straight up to unify the title legitimately. Floyd took the easy way out with Canelo and gave him money to drain himself to 152. Your obviously a big Floyd fan, and that's fine, but you are very biased in how your view Floyd fights and other fights like Canelo's.

I'm not gonna even dignify this with an answer...you have to know that your entiire reasoning here is completely bogus..still you posted it, which makes me think that besides being dishonest, you also lack judgement.

i don't know...might add a new wrinkle to his game. He can outbox maidana pretty easily...but if he's bigger and stronger he will be able to keep maidana offa him and break up maidana's offensive rhythm...being bigger will also mean he can take maidana's punches better while his own punches will affect maidana more which is where the potential KO comes in.

he just might surpise everybody...if he's on PED's and so he's much stronger and more powerful and he lands the counter right on the button, well all i can say is "tiimberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"

If he wins by KO there's not way not to give Floyd credit. It's the only clear way to win outside of a "boxing clinic" which would be more realistic.

how about when you tried to beat your wife and she gave you a good tussle and even looked like she was gonna take a decision from you down the stretch?

KTFO6 was not "realistic" but it happened...floyd is better than JMM and Maidana is no Pacman.

True but Floyd is not really someone who puts his opponents away. Could it happen....yes.......is is statistically a likely outcome? No. But in this sport anything can happen .....but usually there's a predictable outcome if you understand the sport and the fighters.

but you do realize this is BOXING, right? and in BOXING, anybody can knock anybody else out...all it takes is ONE punch. It doesn't have to be predictable or precedented or likely. It just has to be one guy's fist landing on the other guy's jaw. and if the guy behind the fist is unexpectedly powerful from PED's and muscle training, it makes that outcome all the more likely.
