So, to match Marciano's record, and to do it against someone who was last relevant in 2010 AND is EASILY the most undeserving fighter to get the shot wouldn't hurt his legacy? It's the definition of a cherry pick!
HOF'er point blank period. who the f**k cares who this guy fights. Let him fight this last fight then ghtfoh. I'm ready for the next crop of guys to shine
Wouldn't affect it in anyway. He's a 38 year old fighting his retirement after an ATG career. He could fight Rod Salka and it wouldn't matter
rocky marciano had his last two fights against don ****ell (a bum) and old LH archie moore (who dropped him, btw)...berto is a top ten contender and a former ww champ still in his prime. floyd's legacy would be signifcantly enhanced by taking berto as a farewell fight. but imo floyd shoudn't fight berto next...floyd should fight roberto garcia at jmw...or provodnikov at ww. floyd deserves to have some fun in his farewell fight...these two guys or brandon rios would be the perfect oppoenents for him.
He's not fighting purely to match Marciano's record. You're trying to create your own narrative. One win doesn't undo any other win. Good trolling though.
Well I've rather Berto get it than Khan. Berto hasn't acted like a d*** for the last two years. Not a good fight, infact it's awful but it will not do any serious damage to Mayweathers legacy, he is nearly 40, finally fought Pacquiao and is basically fading out of the sport, the Pacquiao fight was the one, anything else after would be a come down anyway.
Who knew ecery captain obvious would be caught so easily. The point is, not one person would pick Floyd to fight Berto or Mayfield. But, after fighting the guys he's fought he's entitled to an easy touch. My guess is, he's either saying these 2 guys so that whoever he really fights will seem a lot better. Or, in the unlikely case he does go ahead with it, it's because Showtime didnt handle the Pac fight as he wanted so he's trying to get out of the contract with a "**** you" and his guaranteed payday.
