"because his tooth hurt the previous time Floyd asked so Floyd was forced to fight DLH instead." is merely the excuse Floydettes were giving as to why Mosley didn't deserve the fight that, in the end, did happen. :rofl

ya...its funny to listen to the *******s talk about floyd fans calling cotto washed up after pac beat him

yet these ***s complained and whined that floyds win over jmm was meaningless cuz jmm jumped up in weight and didnt belong there.....only to watch pac do the same thing a few years later and get his butt whooped in the process

Um, no! Marquez was coming up from the 140 limit when he fought Pac, and only up to a 144lb catchweight. Not the same thing as coming up from 135 to what you think will be 144 but is actually 147 because your opponent decided he needed the extra muscle weight to lean on you more heavily. :nono

Alvarez could get himself a few big wins in the time Floyd would have off after another victory

oh ya....how did we forget that memorable match against ramos at 140....still wondering how much bob paid ramos to take a dive and make marquez look like a heavy punching threat at 140....that was one of the most devestating ko's ive ever seen

it is the same thing, he pulled marquez out of his natural weight to fight him and still got his ass whooped. and lol @ *******s thinking floyd not weighing 147 would have made a difference. floyd gave marquez the most embarrassing 1 onesided loss of marquez career. when will u *******s learn that floyd is on a completely different level as Pac.

You seem a bit thick, so let me explain this slowly:
Floyd, after the tune-up with Marquez, claims he wants to fight Pac. Negotiations are slow. Mosley offers himself as an opponent to either Pac or Floyd.
Floyd says he doesn't want Shane.
    He says Shane brings nothing.
He says Shane doesn't deserve such a fight.
He says Shane ducked him earlier and he had to fall back on a fight with DLH that time. I don't claim any of this. These are all things Floyd was saying.
Then, Floyd springs the testing demands on Pac and Manny doesn't accept them. Negotiations thus break down.
Then Floyd fights Mosley. The same Mosley he had just claimed didn't deserve it. :patsch

Same thing as now. Floyd retired saying there was nobody out there. Cotto was there.
So why did Floyd come back from retirement? For a tune-up against JMM? To fight Mosley the "undeserving"? To fight Cotto? Obviously not, else he wouldn't have retired in the first place, as Cotto was already there.

The fight doesn't matter in this discussion as much as the fact that Marquez went through the whole training camp beefing up for a higher weight than 135.

:patsch of course he didnt want to fight mosley at first. why? because he wanted to persue a fight with PAC FOR MORE MONEY! who was ranke #1. but negotiations didnt work out. so what does he do? he fights Mosley as a back up. Cotto? when has Cotto ever shown interest in fighting floyd? btw how exactly would u picture negotiations going Floyd and Arum? Arum will not do buisness with Floyd so how can he fight cotto? isnt it funny how as soon as Cotto leaves Top Rank how fast Mayweather Vs. Cotto was able to be made? open your eyes *******. when it comes down to it Arum is the problem.
