Note to other mods: I'm leaving this one not merged.

This is a good thread so far with mostly just positive contributions from levelheaded folk having an interesting debate. If trolls overrun it, let's just zap their posts but leave this intact.

    Just for this one, though.

    1. He's not avoiding Pac, Pac was the one avoiding May for all of these years. Refusing to blood test, refusing the 40 million.

    2. His legacy would be affected just as much as it affects PAC's. That's a fact!

All due respect, Bummy Davis, but I'm editing your title slightly to something more neutral and less obviously agenda-driven with weasel words.

Remember, this could've just been merged, so...

I also fixed some typographical and grammatical errors (punctuation, capitalization, spelling of "affect" in lieu of "effect"...)

He's coming off as extremely desperate, Alex Ariza has already cleared everything up.

Bob Arum owes 4 fights to The Venetian Macao, he's not going to let Pac fight Floyd. Why would he?

He pocketed 120 million dollars himself, not sure if Pac is going to see any of that dough.

Pac's stock would plummet significantly if he loses to May here and The Venetian Macao would be screwed over. :nod :hi:

Well he only want's to fight him because of the fans i think he just wants to give the fans a great fight thats all.

Floyd is looking bad in the publics eye even if its pac who is to blame.

He's always looked bad there, why should he care? He's a HEEL.

For the last time, Bob is never going to let this fight go through. I've stated the reasons why that is.

He owes 4 fights to the VENETIAN in Macao, China.

If Pac loses to May here, his stock will drop so badly.

His drawing power will continue to decline to where The Venetian's investment would turn to be an extremely horrible one.

Bob is a sly businessman, he's never going to let it go.

You think floyd does not want this fight as well?

I actually think floyd wants the fight more then ever now he knows that Pac is the only guy who can get him big numbers

I think he does, but if you didn't know this already, he's not very fond of Arum and vice versa. He actually hates him, because Arum has stolen from him and still not paid him some of the proceeds in the Zab/Arturo fight.

    [yt]7cpik-QiZ54[/yt]

Would you do business with someone like that?

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr has said the same exact thing. Bob Arum is IMPOSSIBLE to work with, he's a snake of the highest order.

I understand that the fans are getting owned here, but that's Floyd's position. He refuses to work with someone who has stolen from him. It is what it is.

It will affect both their legacies, not just Floyd.

Floyd will never be treated fairly by the public because they all have the perception that Manny is the good guy and Floyd is the bad one.

That's just what it is. It comes with the territory of being a HEEL for the sport of boxing.

It's the easiest to blame Floyd and not guys like Arum/Pac/etc.

We all know whose at fault though. It's a collective thing from everyone.

I agree both legacies will be effected whatever arum is the amount of money that is on offer here is too great and i think Mayweather knows this sometimes in business you do business with people you don't like because of the reward you get Floyd would get the biggest payday he has ever got and same for Manny.

Fair enough. Floyd and Manny both need this fight for their legacies.

Money too. The amount of money is ridiculous.

If the fight does not happen, both Manny and Floyd will never be considered the greatest of their era, they will not be considered one of the top ATGS, not even close. That's just a fact.

    Imagine Leonard without Hearns/Duran/Hagler
    Ali without Foreman/Frazier/Norton/Patterson/etc
etc etc etc I could go on and on

Well that's his position, not mine. Would you want to do business with the person who has stolen from you? I'm not sure. I wouldn't, personally. But that's just me.

It's kind of like having a girlfriend. If your girlfriend cheats on you, would you give her another chance?

I personally wouldn't. That's deception of the highest order. I'd never forgive her. That's just me.

When you say we all know who is at fault do you mean to say the public and the majority of the fans think Pac is at fault?

Because from what i have seen the majority places the blame on Floyd.

I do think its unfair to put all the blame on Floyd but he does not help

The majority does, because he's perceived as the bad guy who will do no right.

In reality, both parties have their faults, it is what it is.

But Floyd will always get more of the blame because he's Floyd, the guy everyone LOVES to hate. :D

If i know i will get money i have never gotten before then i would because in business you don't do business with people who you only get along with floyd will put his feelings toward's arum to one side so he can better himself and get even more money for himself and his family.
