It wasn't too long ago on the Joe Buck show did we hear/see Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS4EobS7zsg[/ame]

Mark Whalberg, "The most important fight for boxing, period. This is what the sport needs."

Michael Strahan, "Translation... Floyd will whoop Pacquaio."

Floyd, "I know what will happen. My record says I'm the best. I don't want the fans to be shocked what happens we do meet up because he's been KOed before and he took a loss before. So it's not anything new. I'll be victorious, you can believe that."

What happened? All this wind up from Floyd. At that time the fight was looking to happen. That was 20 days ago. Yet, we haven't get anything officially signed by now. As of right now, the fight is supposedly dead. Not going to happen.

In the end, will this be a let down for Floyd fans and his people? Those that do support him and still like him. Floyd hasn't had trouble making enemies, but how will this do for the few loyal fans he does have? Maybe some will blame Pac, and that's fine. I'm not saying it's all Floyd's fault. But for this not to happen, and Floyd's past history with picking fights. How do his people/fans react to this? Where does he go from here? All this "I'll beat Pac" and no show.

You know what he does with fighters he actually wants to fight?
He builds them up and makes them look better than they are.
You know what he does with fighters he doesn't want to fight?
He discredits them and their records and questions their past.

It's a pattern. A solid pattern he has stuck to.

That may be true. It's also human nature (To build up someone you beat to up your credit. And vice versa).

Couldn't have said it better. Pac has said his peace. Floyd has let his handlers do all his talking.

:rofl @ anyone trying to claim that Floyd comes out of this worse then Pac.

Floyd has always been an...acquired taste so to speak. He has always been the villain, always been the heel. His fanbase is not going to leave him over this, and the people that have always disliked him were never going to be believers anyways. Floyd can take the winner of Berto/Mosley or handful of other fights and still be in the same shape he was relative to where he was before this debacle.

Pacman on the other hand...the guy was perfect up till this point. He was the new Sugar Ray Leonard, he was the underdog from the little third world country with a fan pleasing style and good will with a number of different fanbases. Now however, with his inability to agree to steroid testing...his legacy has been tainted. Floyd has succeeded in creating an cloud of negativity around him, and I feel as the the perfect little saint image has been shed a bit. Pac has been brought down to our level.

Say what you want, Pacman needs to take the test, might not be fair but the public tends to think that if you CAN clear your name, then there is no reason not to. In a court case, the burden is on the prosecution...but when the defense refuses to give DNA then many people will find you guilty.

They are brilliant at coming up with excuses. Floyd doesn't need to fight anyone, his fans will pay top dollar to watch him shadowbox while sitting on a toilet.

Do you not find it strange that Pac is asked to do what no other boxer is asked to do and for no reason at all?

floyd is quiet coz pacman is now suing him and floyd can't do any alibi in the court. imagine him in witness stand talking w/o thinking? :)

It’s about who does the testing and the scheduling of the procedures.

    :lol::rofl:patsch

The fact that you think Floyd will end up in a witness stand, proves you know next to nothing about the legal system.

Truth: All this steroid accusations is casting a negative eye on the sport.

I never gave a damn for this fight, because I don't think Mayweather has earned the pay day.

However, this fight would have been good for the sport.
