Yeah, boxing history will never forgive him and his cowardice will be a matter of debate among fanboys and haters alike forever Popular threads in a boxing forum in 2020 - ¿Was Chavez-Taylor a right stoppage? - Lennox Lewis retired as a coward. yes, but even if he fights him next year, the belief that he waits for his opponents to degrade before he touch them with a 10ft. pole lingers. pac ain't the threat like he was in 2010.
He's already lost some glory. Even if he fights Pac now, he has ducked for three years and the fight has lost much of its significance.
If Floyd doesn't fight Pac or Martinez he's basically going to go down as the biggest fraud in boxing history!
But at the end of the day, Pac has the better resume at the moment. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353583&page=25
pac's legacy was set way before floyd was considered a viable opponent for floyd. remember that pac could have retired back at 130 and few would question his legacy and was already solidified as an ATG. beating oscar, hatton, cotto, margarito, clottye, etc. at the higher weights just adds up to his legend. meanwhile, pac was the first truly ATG in his prime that floyd could have fought but floyd passed up on him and is now sliding fast.
