If Floyd Ducks Pacquiao, How Much Damage Will It Do to His Reputation?

I would be pissed off if Pacquiao indeed fight Paulie this coming March, instead of Bradley or atleast Foreman.

Having said that, I don't think the fight with Mayweather will happen now. If the slander case has already filed, do you think Pac would still undergo the blood test requested by Mayweather? No. So, I am expecting it not to happen for now.

As for Mayweather's rep, the non-materialization of the fight certainly did not up his reputation. He is still beking looked upon as a malcontent whiny jerk.

As far as I'm concerned, Floyd's legacy as a coward is already sealed, whether he chooses to duck Manny or not.

Floyd's phony retirement was a cowardly attempt to save his oh so precious record. That 0 being his pride and joy, even more so than the dollars he loves with all his greedy heart. For if he had not retired, then he would have been forced to face either Cotto or Margarito, and back then they were fearsome foes in their prime that Floyd wanted to duck at all costs!

When Cotto became damaged goods and Margarito was discredited, Floyd now had a legitimate reason to duck these two warriors. And so, like the opportunist weasel he is, Floyd thought he would come back from retirement to reclaim his P4P title from this "little" Filipino, who has struggled against counter-punchers in the past.

It was so perfect Floyd was jizzing his pants with delight. He cherry picked another opponent in Marquez to mark his comeback, and he took home an easy paycheck that was earned by the popularity of Marquez. To win, all Floyd had to do was dance around an undersized past his prime Marquez, jabbing his way to victory. Now all Floyd had to do, before he got more easy dollars, was to dodge an aging but game Mosely, and then wait for Pacquiao to become damaged goods against Cotto.

However, something went wrong, very wrong! Pacquiao dismantled Cotto! The man that Floyd was too scared to fight had just been demolished by this supposedly little Filipino! Mayweather could not believe it, he was now faced with the prospect of fighting someone who could very well put him on his ass for the count, and that made him crap his pants. He could not risk having his "pretty" face and perfect record tarnished, not even for massive dollars! No, risky business is not the Mayweather way!

And so, scaredy-cat Floyd went crying to daddy and uncle, so they could discredit Pacquiao with roid allegations, to provide their baby boy a way to save face, literally! But since Floyd has been unable to avoid negotiations, he has to make it seem like Pacquiao is the one ducking him. He can't just blatantly admit his cowardice to the masses, no, even that would take some courage.

So how can Floyd worm his way out and save face? By demanding that Pacquiao agree to take random blood tests that are NOT required by the NSAC, when he knows full well that Pacquiao, who is very superstitious, had blood taken from him before his loss to Morales. And even if Pacquiao accepts these unreasonable demands, at least he will be blood drained and psychologically weakened, robbing him of his trademark power that Gayweather fears with his life!
