If Floyd faught cotto and flattened him. What would you say about them

Not surpirse at all if Floyd dominated. Styalistically he should be able to "Beat" Cotto. But Cotto has a way about making fights really tough for his opponents and I think Floyd would feel his power, but would win a UD.

 

I'd bow down in utter respect and awe because we were able to whitness one of the most skillfull fighters to have boxed in our lifetime. :deal

 

I don't think people would be so critical of Floyd if he would have taken that fight with Margarito.

I know I wouldn't be.

 

Oh I can just see the posts now;

"Cotto was overratted"
"The ref favored Mayweather"
"What terrible scoring!"
"Doesn't matter, Margarito is the real challange!"

 

There is absolutely no way he pitches a shutout. If Hatton can get a few rounds there is no doubt that Cotto gets at least 4 (I pick Cotto to win though)

so that means you believe at this point in their careers, DLH poses a greater threat to floyd than Cotto. If the judges gave FLoyd a split over DLH, surely Cotto can make it that close or closer (draw) or even win.

 

That would put Floyd way over the top in my books. I would have nothing else to say about him...

 

At this point in their careers, Cotto probably has better handspeed than DLH. What is far more important is that unlike DLH, Cotto does not tire at the end. He gets stronger. that has always been the knock on DLH.

So not only does Cotto have deceptive speed, cuts off the ring better than anyone, great power in both hands, but he has tremendous stamina and will.

He should be considered a much more dangerous opponent than DLH. No one here believes that another "boxer" is going to beat Floyd b/c he is way ahead of everyone in that dept. It will take smart, effective, and consistent pressure to beat Floyd. It will take someone who doesnt get tired, someone who can stalk for 15 rounds straight if they needed to, someone who will punch floyd to the elbows and shoulders without getting frustrated, etc...

Cotto has the tools. I'm not saying he will win, but he definitely has a better chance than DLH.

yeah, the bum preferred to become the undisputed welterweight champion of the world in his next fight. What was he thinking?

 

Johnny Nelson said it would be good while it lasted but Floyd would do a real hatchet job on Cotto.

I agree and i wouldnt be heavily impressed because i expect Floyd to take his head off.

 

That would probably confirm Mayweather's spot as a top 10 ATG !
