Pacquiao = top 30 boxer all time, not top 10

Mayweather = top 30 boxer all time, not top 10

Can we all agree to this before we begin to analyze what may happen. Undefeated, punch statistics, overall revenue generated, impact on PPV & 24/7, and former/present/future champions fought will all come to realization and be tremendously appreciated in the generations to come; the ones who did not watch either fighter live and therefore pick a bias side.

Just saying a fighter is on your top 30 ATG list is a useless opinion. You need to backup your statement with why you think they are ranked where you have placed them compared to the other fighters on your list.

Right now many boxing commentators and historians list Pacquiao in the top 20 and some in the top 10. There are only a few outspoken that list him in their top 30.

Not if pac keeps on winning it wouldn't put him above him, but it would put him a lot closer.

    Sfw-mw is very impressive.

But flyweight-ww is even more so imo.

So the consensus is Floyd cannot retire after beating Sergio(at 154 presumably) if Floyd wants to have a greater legacy than Pacquaio. Suppose he goes up to 160 and beats someone like Chavez or Sturm. How do you see him rank then?

Right now I have pac borderline top 20 and floyd borderline top 40.

From the 90's onwards the order I have is:

    Pea
    Pac
    Top twenty
    Hopkins
    Jones
    Top thirty
    Floyd
    Top 40
    Holyfield
    Toney
    Top 50.

Assuming pac finishes his career with marquez, bradley and berto.

Assuming floyd finishes with ortiz, khan and martinez.

Then floyd moves into that top twenty tier but doesn't quite overtake pac. Still it becomes atleast debatable who the greater is.

Floyd ranks higher because he's done more for the sport he tries and attempts to fight the fighters everyone is talking about...if Bob Arum respected Floyd as a business man then he would have most likely fought Cotto, Margarito, or even Pac by now...all of his titles are at legit weights classes meaning no catchweight titles, he's undefeated 41 times which means those opponents had the chance to study him and still didn't win, he sells controversey like Mike Tyson...the media eats it up how do people know Floyd didn't stage this **** with his baby momma just to sale 50k more views (I'm jus sayin) but no one in this era can be said that that they beat him...As for Manny, not to **** on him but there's nobody he's beaten that Floyd can't beat Floyd proved that with Marquez whose given Manny his toughest fights to date...since Erik Morales lol who lost to Barerra he Manny beat twice...I want you to put it on your life that Erik Morales is a more skilled all around boxer and athlete Floyd Mayweather is...not even in the same universe. Boxing is a sport of habits good and bad...Manny's bad habits will be the reason he'll lose...Manny is comfortable and rich now...Floyd does this because its all he knows since he was two. When Roger says, "Most people don't know **** about boxing." That's what he's talking about family is what's important they may be dysfunctional but there a unit. Why did Mike Tyson fall off? He left his core the only people he really trusted and would tell him the truth...so ya'll can fall into the hype of Manny if you want but you know who I'm riding with 41 times Victor your up and good luck.

No beating Martinez would not be enough for Floyd to overtake Pacquiao.

If Floyd fought and beat Sergio, he'd have a legit argument to be ahead of Pac, but me, personally wouldn't have him ahead...uh-uh:verysad

The reason Floyd didn't fight Cotto, Margarito and Pac was Floyd's doing. Two of those fights should've happened if not for his diva ways and reluctance to take any on any real threats. The likes of Tszyu, and then Hatton who he didn't fight at 140 weren't Arum fighters, neither was Paul Williams, or Winky Wright when they called each other out. Floyd each time took easier fights, that's what he's about, that's why he's undefeated

Pac fight was all but made if he hadn't made his OSDT demands. It wasn't Arum who created that situation, it was Floyd. He went on vacation the next time it could've been made, said during his hiatus Pac fight would only happen after he came back, then comes back when Pac is signed to fight Marquez and fights Ortiz. And Khan looks like he is next.

And he was offered the Margarito fight, Arum and Margarito went on a public crusade to try to get Floyd to take the fight. Al Haymon was against it as there were safer fights, and that was that. Floyd also retired when welter was at it's peak with many great fights for him and then came back to fight a lightweight.. see the pattern? Definately not Margarito ducking him, or Arum protecting Margarito as he went on to fight all the best welterweights, regardless of who their promoter was.

Mayweather on the other hand has only fought Golden Boy fighters since, and went on to build a very poor resume at welter, littered with guys coming up in weight in between retirements and vacations. When will fans start seeing through his facade of a welterweight career? Surely when he fights another 140 lber instead of Pac next he has to get called out on it.

Just you guys watch, he won't take Martinez's challenge, but he will end up fighting Alvarez, repeating the pattern, and fans will eat it up as a great alternative fight just as they are Ortiz
