If Floyd fights Canelo is it still a cherry pick?

I think he'll always be protected to a degree,he's there cash cow.I give him credit for winning though im not as impressed as others.
GB would put him in with floyd were they would have a decent chance & most important make huge money win-lose.They won't risk him in with the middleweight champs Serg/golvkin were they're likely to tear his head off for less money. He basically got handed the wbc belt so don't give him much credit for unifying them but do for beating a champ in trout.

I feel your panic and lack of rationality :rofl

Cotto was shot AFTER Mayweather?? Hahaha oh dear
Canelo has proved he's a top fighter, the best 154 fighter out there now without a doubt.

I said before the fight, Canelo would be a fight I would praise Mayweather for but Mayweather won't go near him! Especially not now, Canelo is slick and would give Mayweather problems, therefore it won't happen

Canelo is NOT ready for Mayweather. Canelo should get a bit more experience before taking on Mayweather. If Mayweather is smart, he would fight Canelo as early as possible, because Canelo WILL get better.

He would be up there in terms of ability, Canelo isn't green anymore, he's the real deal now. Slicker than Castillo, better than the Mosley Mayweather fought, far better than the Cotto Mayweather fought...I can hear the Mayweather fans with their excuses already even before their hero has officially ducked Canelo, which they are already talking as if he has ducked him...it's just too funny and pathetic

But Ortiz and Guerrero are? Canelo has had 41 professional fights, almost as many as Mayweather and just comfortably beaten the guy who owned Miguel Cotto, more so than Mayweather managed.

Canelo is the undisputed best 154 fighter, he's not ready though :rofl
Guerrero has 2 fights at 147, including against Berto who lost to Ortiz....Guerrero is not even a top 3 147 fighter but he's considered ready, Canelo is the best in his division and he's not? :patsch just stop! :yep

so do you think canelo is up there in terms of ability, at 22 years of age, in the space of one day and one victory when he wasn't even in the mix yesterday?

Canelo is the best fighter in his division. Who else does he have to beat? Berto? He beat Trout clearly, if you tell me you think Trout won then no point talking

you havent answered my questions and if you think canelo won without question then there IS no point talking to me

do you want to sell what you believe or do you come on this forum to debate with people because you believe what you say?

only blinkered mexicans think canelo won that fight WITHOUT QUESTION... and try to turn away from other points of view like you are doing now

i have no problem with canelo getting the decision in the fight, but if you are so defensive and dont have any conviction in your argument to debate that point then i cant help you

let's see how much you really believe that canelo beat trout

Weight difference is a big thing but I'd argue he is at this stage better P4P than the versions of Cotto, Ortiz, Mosely and probably Guerrero Mayweather fought.

last year didn't Canelo call Floyd out and Floyd went to Golden Boy to make the fight and Golden Boy told him Canelo was too green. What makes you think Floyd wont take the fight. Floyd in the game these day for the money, when he wanted fame and tried to get Cotto and Hatton into the ring at 140 and those guy made excuses( which none of the Floyd hater would admit, they will just ignore this posting) so he move to 147 to try and get Mosley and those guys to fight him but Mosley had a tooth ache and want to be with his family. But, Floyd Mayweather is the scared fighter, check your history books or youyr boxing library if you have one. Mayweather tried to fight these fighters, but the promoters( mainly Bob Arum) got in the way. Go check some post fight interviews on Cotto and Hatton at 140 when asked about fighting Mayweather both guys wanted none.

Trout missed for 75 percent of the match imo. If you think he won with that.. Your buzzing.

    you may be right
if you are right, canelo may be talked about in the same breath as a chavez or oscar in time - but that is a big call and a long way down the track

sitting where he is now at 22 years of age though reminds me a lot of a young fernando vargas at least
