If floyd finishes off with ortiz, khan and pac - will he have fulfilled his promise?

    We know floyd has some gaps, most notably, imo, freitas and margo.

    As it stands I don't think he's justified his skill level.

    If he finishes his career with victories over these 3 taking his record to 44-0 (or 43-1 depending how you scored the first castillo fight) would you say he's met his potential?

    His ww resume then reads: mitchel, marquez, baldomir, judah, mosley, ortiz, hatton, khan, pac. Quite a good 9 victories at the weight. I'd say he would have lived up to his potential and would likely finish top 15 under this scenario, round about the sweet pea, leonard level of greatness.

    What are your thoughts? Assume he wins all 3 fights controversy free. Has he realised his potential?

    Depends on what ortiz and khan continue to do after those losses and if pac will be past prime or not( I think if pac looks bad vs marquez as well the chance of people saying he waited for him to slow down will be a argument that will be used a lot)
    If mayweather really wants to complete his legacy he fights those 3 and martinez at 160 and atleast ends up 3-1, his resume would be great then. But thats just my opinion of course.

    actually a pac win only and he could add a martinez win would silence the doubters. an ortiz and a khan win would not do much for his legacy since we all know that he would have handled both of these guys pretty easily.

    then it depends on how martinez looks, you risk getting the oscar vs pac effect and him getting 0 credit for it.

    As it stands Martinez is pretending he's not big enough for 168 and can totally make 154 (I think it's BS, but whatever), if he asserts this then Floyd deserves a lot of credit for stepping up to 154 and beating him.

    So some people believe he'd need to beat martinez as well?

    That is a level I wouldn't assume floyd to be at; being the best from sfw to mw.

    Imo that's amazing and a bonus considering his early potential.

    I agree but if sergio looks weight drained he will get none, but I think sergio wont be stupid and would atleast rehydrate to 170+

    Some might, but those people are nuts. Taking out two more champs with Khan and Ortiz and then the #1 P4P fighter in Pac would really strengthen Floyd's resume. Maybe he wouldn't have absolutely maximized his potential but he's really be in good shape.

    he doesnt need to, but it would clearly erase the image of him not taking risks and being calculated.

    If he drops the testing demands and goes on to beat Pac without controversy, even the most fanatic "*******" would be a total ***** not to give him props.
