I hope he fights some real welters, any real welter! But I think everyone
knows he came back to fight Marquez and Pac. The only problem; is there
both lightweights. Oh well, Money May will still get paid. :gayfight

Mosley is THE welterweight champion. Show some respect and recognize. If Floyd wants that title back - he has to take it in the ring - not wait for a vacant belt to float his way.

Yeah right especially Mosley who is WW#1 and who recently beat BADLY Margarito ... a guy who Floyd was ducking for years. The green part is fun.

What this thread is really saying is that if Mayweather fights Mosley first he'll miss out on a fight with Pacquiao.....in the first half of 2010.

Excuse me, but...so ****ing what? Pac is still only 30, PBF 32. Is anyone gonna seriously tell me that that fight can't wait until, say, around this time next year, or even early 2011?

The bottom line is that Mosley is the aging guy here and there is no way to deny that there should be more urgency for mayweather to fight him before it's too late than there is urgency for mayweather to fight pac. Besides, if you would have a poll right now about who would be a more threatening opponent for mayweather at least as many people would vote for mosley as they would for pacquiao.

Ofcourse, now that i've said that, if somebody does hold that poll all the Floyd-huggers will probably team up and vote for pac en masse to disprove my point lol.

What part of Pac wants to get into politics don't you understand? Pac will probably only fight one more time after Cotto.

I don't think Mosley was ducking Floyd when he could of fought him years ago. Now that Floyd is in the drivers seat I don't think he's ducking Mosley. At the respective times they could have fought they both had their eyes on bigger paydays. These are two great fighters and I seriously doubt that either is afraid of the other. All they have to do is keep winning and at some point Mosley vs Mayweather will be the biggest fight for either of them that can be made.

Oooooh, right, he's getting into politics. And how many times before has he done that? Look, all fighters get into things. They get into business, into music, into politics, into trouble, etc.

At the end of the day they always turn out realizing that they're still fighters and they get back into the ring. Saying a pac-mayweather fight has more urgency than a mosley mayweather-mosley fight is just apologism for mayweather avoiding shane.

That's probably why you neglected to respond to the part where i pointed out that most people would consider mosley at least as dangerous an opponent to floyd as pacquiao.

But since you're probably anxious to win this debate in defense of your idol, i'll say fine, you win. Because frankly i wanna see mayweather fight the pac-cotto winner as much as i wanna see him fight mosley. ****, if Cotto wins next month, i prefer a cotto fight over mosley. Cotto did beat mosley after all and he's in his prime still.

I dont think a fight with Floyd and Pac will even happen in April, one would assume with those two names together, and Roach in the mix, Floyd being a bit money hungry at the table, the negotiations would take up until april, I would expect to see Pac vs Mayweather in June or July, and if that does happen then there is no reason Floyd could not have fought Mosley in either late december or mid january....

You're looking at wrong picture my friend, Floyd may actually lose the mega fight with Pac if he loses to Shane.

floyd loses a mega fight with pac if he fights mosley next, regardless the outcome. I dont know how else to break it down for you. it's simple logic.
