If Floyd gets a tune-up, it should be on regular HBO. NOT PPV!

It's a tuneup right? Boxing fans shouldnt have to dish out $49.95 to see him against the likes of Spadafora. It also serves as an insurance policy that he doesnt "steal some more money" and ride off into the sunset only to sit out another year or 2 without having to fight Pac.

People have to remember that it was Floyd who intentionally sat out and remained inactive. Why should he keep getting a pass and granted tuneup bouts when in reality, it was his own decision to go on vacation? What HBO should do is NOT give him a date for a tuneup until he (in writing) guarantees them a bout with Pac within the same year!

That's fine, but HBO should then tell him to carry his own independent ppv.

You forget that people watch him fight hoping he'd lose. That's his only hold on the limelight, no way the promoters gonna make him fight on regular, its always an opportunity to earn. Only time they'll stop showcasing him is when he loses that 0.

Say he does take on Spadafora. How in the world will they sell that to the public? By showing a sparring session from 10yrs ago? LOL. Spadafora hasnt had a signifigant fight in 8yrs! What fight highlights will they show for Spadafora?

Mayweather will be on PPV. If he fights again this year he will definitely be on PPV...especially with Top Rank jumping ship at the minute.

Exactly! A fight with Spadafora will defintely not draw enough money in order to guarantee Floyd the type of money he demands.

I would put my money on Guerrero. Southpaw, lightweight lol, Golden Boy fighter, off an exciting victory, and Schaefer has started talking it up. I wouldn't be surprised

They're gonna make his life the story... like he prolly came from a poor family, his mother ill, he's sending all his siblings to school...etc..you get what i mean, dont underestimate HBO's script writers...they seem to be doing good.:hey

It wont be much about Floyd, there's nothing to show except his problems with the law and his law suits...

Compared to Spadafora, a fight with Guerrero is acceptable for a tune-up despite the fact that even Guerrero is pretty much an unknown by the casuals.

Nobody is forcing you to buy it if it's on PPV. Just don't buy it. Simples.
