    Hey Brothers

I've been thinking since Floyd is more or less at the end of his career, the danger of losing a fight just due to age and inactivity is a real possibility in my opinion....I wonder If Floyd got KO like Roy did by Tarver....would he have a drastic decline....

Let me hear your thoughts brothers......

Too much money, too many options for post-boxing career and most importantly, too much money.

    :deal

I believe that if and when that day comes, Floyd will learn about it in the gym.

Mayweather is too good fundamentally to fall to Jones' level..

As mentioned, Floyd is financially set and has the option of training and or commentating.

Another thing is that Roy Jones had gaping holes in his defence, that his physical talents allowed him to get away with. Once Floyd has slowed down enough to get caught by other fighters, he still has brilliant technique to fall back on.

nope, too much defensive skills. he could probly last as long as hopkins if he wanted to but he probly wouldnt retire undefeated if he did

Wow thats a bit speculative, Hopkins is a one off.
Sure if his reflexes slow enough he could start getting KO'd, it nearly happened in the Mosley fight.
For such a gym rat its hard to imagine how things will end. I hope he can adjust to life after boxing.

His uncle and his father are suffering from pugilistic dementia, I think it scares the living hell out of him personally. He'd pull the plug on his career before he was anywhere near RJJ's level of being shot.

I think he would keep fighting-He would at least have one more fight-

With that said, I don't see him going as long as RJJ.

:deal Floyd could have diminished reflexes and still compete at the world level. Just like it paid off for Hopkins. Floyd has probably taken half or less punishment than most fighters do and with good matchmaking he would still earn millions. He is of a rare defensive style a master at it too I think like him or hate him he will have many who admire his skills and when he's gone his skills will be missed. Unless he's not put in against a real threat he can keep fighting forever.
