As fight fans we want to see the real warrior spirit on show , the triumph over adversity - the last gasp all or nothing punch that rescues victory from certain defeat , Floyd holds his 0 in higher regard than any real legacy or place in fight fans hearts .

Calzahge retired at 46 - 0 , but he will never be lionised by the fans like Hagler or Nigel Benn - true warriors who both suffered defeats in thier careers .

If mayweather had a bit more devilment in him . a bit more balls out and backs to the wall heart his legend would already be cemented in place - but his self imposed 'vacations' aligned with his smack talking blogs and domestic drama's are ruining whatever legacy he once imagined for himself.

I'm board of educating Pacquiao fans.

Oscar was 172 pounds in ring against Mayweather, unbeaten at 154 for years, and had just come off destroying Mayorga in 6 rounds.

The same Mayorga, who Cotto couldn't get rid of even when he was 38-39!?

Oscar was 147 in ring with Pacquiao (25 pounds lighter) and acknowledged as being finished as a world class fighter

Can you stop generalizing so much.

Mayweather gets 1.6 million people a bout wanting to see him dominate.

What you mean is, a section of fans, like watching brawlers, beat the crap out of each other. A minority of fans

You know when you state you're 'board' of educating someone? Make sure you remember to spell bored correctly.

    This is my general point.

Calzaghe's maybe faced 1 current world champion in his career. And maybe 4-5 past/world champions.

Mayweather's faced about 7 current world champions, and closer to 18 past/future world champs.

As I said, a section of fans, just hate dominant winners.

Probably because they got beat up by them at school

People who go about correcting grammar, usually do so, as they work in a call centre, and have a lot of free time

pac faced and literally demolished hatton in the hitmans strongest weight class.

pac merely toyed on hoya; whereas gayweather actually lost to him. he was merely given the gift. one judge got it right though :deal

    no not at all

fight fans want to see fighters who step up to the biggest challenges - unfortunately the two biggest names in boxing are falling way short of this right now .

Why is that so hard to believe?

Morales had a good style to be very competitive against Mayweather.

    Any proof of this?

He was unbeaten for years cause he didnt fought in that division for years.

His last fight at 154 before he fought Mayorga he got beat by Shane Mosley.

Juan Lazcano came pretty close to destroying hatton as well. The guy was shot long before Manny came along.........

As for De la Hoya - don't you paclanders get the fact that shot, retired names, are exactly that - bad?

I get sick of fans being unable to discuss anything that happened before 2008

Both Hatton and De la Hoya were considered shot when Pacquiao faced them
