He would fight Canelo next. The reason why is obvious, Floyd is only going to get older and at his age slower, weaker, less affective ect.... It's a fact of life. Also Canelo is only going to get older and at his age stronger, faster, wiser, more effective ect. It is stating the obvious but as a Floyd fan he should take this fight next, the longer he leaves it the harder a fight it becomes and the last thing I want to see is Floyd grow old in one night against a top up and coming fighter like Canelo who is improving every fight. His head movement against Trout was world class, the way he made Trout miss surprised me. Right now we have our p4p no1 who still has all his skills and attributes but with a question mark over the length of time he can keep this up, versus a young future star who presents a worthy and creddible challenge. The time is now!
If not Floyd vs Canelo, I would like to see a Canelo vs Trout rematch. It was a very competitive fight and Trout is still seen as a top fighter. If Trout wins the rematch, we get a trilogy.
