Floyd is ducking Martinez. Martinez is ducking Floyd, who is also ducking Pacquiao, and Pacquiao is also ducking both of them.

If Floyd wants to be as great as PAC is, he has to move up to heavyweight and knock out Monte Barrett. As far as popularities, Floyd is miles ahead of PAC. When Floyd fight it's always a complete package that include free room, free buffet, and even a free limo ride from the airport. PAC wish that he can do that.

Yes, Duran, Napoles, Armstrong, Robinson, Trinidad, Leonard, De La Hoya(catchweight), and many other great Welters moved up to 160 and fight the #1 guy at that divisions. Floyd isn't even fighting the #1 guy at 154. Top 6 yes, not #1.

 

After the Floyd fight at 160, Martinez should fight Hopkins, many other Middleweights have moved up to 175 to fight the#1 fighter at that division.

 

The difference between the two is: Floyd has actually gone up to the weight Martinez wants him at, and is fighting someone else. Whereas Pacquiao has NOT gone up to where Cotto wants him. He said he can’t fight above 147, and so is remaining there. You’d have a point if Pacquiao, after refusing Cotto at 150, went up there anyway and picked on somewhere else.

Not that it matters, anyway. Floyd has no problem fighting Cotto at 154 because he knows it’s more a less a fight between two welterweights. Martinez has huge size/weight advantages, brings no money to the table (compared to Cotto), and is just a really high-risk, low-reward opponent that’s not an absolute necessity to take on. His legacy/reputation is hardly going to take a hit for bypassing a middleweight.

 

2 fighters cannot duck a man that is 2 weight classes above them, simple as that!!!

Huge size differences there. The only ducker out there is Martinez, nobody wants him at MW so he should move up and face stern opposition from the bigger guys.

 

He fought Marg at 150 back in 2010, and immediately vowed never to go up in weight again. He made this decision 15 months before Cotto even asked him to come back up. Whereas Martinez has been calling Floyd/Pac out at 154 for over a year, and then Floyd goes up to 154 to not face him. Surely you can see the difference there?

Not like I give a toss, anyway. It's ridiculous to suggest a welterweight is ducking a middleweight.
